Unfortunate Arthur Fowler had a hard life beset with difficulties: unemployment, complex family life and imprisonment for a fraud he didn't commit. He eventually died of a brain haemorrhage. Since EastEnders, Bill has been in The Bill and has appeared in films such as The Musketeer and the Tale Of The Mummy.
