What can we expect? The Time Lord and his newest travel-hungry assistant, medical student Martha Jones, press on with all their otherworldly antics, courtesy of his trusty Tardis. We’re being promised new thrills, a good sprinkling of laughs and some scary new aliens which we bet they’ve had some fun inventing and making suitably ugly.

The Lost Room – Sky One
Stars:
Peter Krause, Julianne Margulies, Kevin Pollak Elle Fanning
What can we expect? With ex-Six Feet Under and ER actors and Dakota’s even littler sister heading up the cast, prepare for mind-boggling plots as a detective is given an innocent looking motel room key. What he finds out is that the door it opens leads into a parallel universe of general weirdness. And then his daughter disappears inside the room…Try to keep up with this one.

The Dresden Files – Sky One – February

Paul Blackthorne, Valerie Cruz
What can we expect? Harry Dresden is a wizard. Who advertises in the Chicago Yellow Pages. He’s a private detective who solves seemingly inexplicable crimes, with suspected supernatural forces at work. Naturally he also gives the cops a helping hand when strange cases leave them scratching their heads.

Battlestar Gallactica – Sky One – 9th January 2007, 9pm

Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, Katee Sackhoff, Jamie Bamber
What can we expect? Watch out for more Battlestar Gallactica action as the third series continues. Adama and son Apollo (Bamber) are helpless against the Cylons and there’s a new struggle for the human race as the Cylons call for a new era under sympathiser President Baltar (Callis). Plus the race is on to find Earth first.
