Our new Digital Skills Hub to support SMEs

5th November 2014

Earlier this month, Virgin Media launched a partnership with Mumsnet to promote Switched on Families - our online safety guide for parents to make sure their families get the best from the web.

This is part of our ongoing work to promote the programme. Since its launch in February we have conducted campaigns on social media and created a blog on the site to give parents the latest advice when it comes to kids and the web.

As part of this partnership, we’ll be posting content from Switched on Families on Mumsnet’s popular site, as well as sponsoring discussion threads on the Mumsnet Forum and running a competition encouraging Mumsnetters to watch the Switched on Families launch film:

This partnership is a great opportunity to raise awareness of and engagement with Switched on Families amongst mums. This is all the more important following the release of research by the Oxford Internet Institute which shows the positive impact of supportive and loving parenting on a child’s digital development.

We want Switched on Families to help families have an open conversation about online risks and how to manage them, and this partnership is another great way of getting our message out to parents.
