Ready to boost your sofa sessions? It’s on. We’re bulking up your TV guide with new themed streaming channels, chock-full of the very best films and TV shows. The best part? It’s on the house.
From Thursday 3 April we’re bringing customers with a Virgin TV 360 or Stream box not one but two new themed channels as part of your TV package: Rakuten TV Top Movies (CH 446) and Rakuten TV Action (CH 447). With these, you can stream curated films and action-packed movies 24/7, on top of all the other themed channels already available to you. Sweet.
There’s more. The Rakuten TV app is available to customers with our Virgin TV V6 box (powered by TiVo®), our 360 box or our Stream box, and it’s jam-packed with fantastic movies and TV series, bingeable Box Sets and themed channels at no extra cost. Whatever you fancy, from news, music and entertainment to sports, kids and lifestyle, there’s something for everyone at your fingertips with the Rakuten TV app.

How do I access these themed streaming channels on Virgin TV?
Rakuten TV’s themed channels appear in the Virgin TV Guide with their channel logo and description. From there, you can select the one that interests you which opens the Rakuten TV app so you can enjoy your new channel. In the Rakuten TV app you’ll also be able to browse and launch other featured content. You won’t be able to record, rewind or pause Rakuten TV’s themed channels and you can return to the Virgin TV guide whenever you want by pressing Back or another exit button.
Please note, if you watch TV on our TiVo® box, you will not be able to access our themed channels. But it’s super easy to upgrade to our latest Virgin TV box by contacting us on 0345 454 1111 (or call 150 from a Virgin Media phone).
