Now you can watch her in one of her most powerful roles to date in John Crowley’s critically acclaimed We Live In Time, coming to Netflix (Apps > Netflix) on Saturday 5 July – a perfect pick for your weekend movie night.
We Live In Time follows the unconventional relationship between recently divorced Tobias (Andrew Garfield) and former figure skater turned chef Almut (Pugh). Their chance meeting in the most surprising of circumstances leads to a passionate and deeply moving love story that unfolds on screen, as they navigate love, loss, family and a terminal illness. Trust us when we say that there won’t be a dry eye in your living room.
Heartwarming, tearjerking and inspiring all at once, the film is told in a non-linear style through events that span a decade of Tobias and Almut’s relationship, seeing them hit life’s joyful milestones from parenthood to career highs, which makes an earth-shattering cancer diagnosis before their time all the more gut-wrenching.
Driven by the swoon-worthy chemistry between Garfield and Pugh, We Live In Time perfectly captures how a seemingly ordinary life can become one of the most extraordinary love stories when you remember to cherish each moment. Sob.
