You’ve now got 11 themed channels on demand at no extra cost

Virgin TV brilliantly brings together the shows you love, and we know how much you love our themed streaming channels. So, we’re now adding even more ways for you to enjoy your favourite shows with our most-loved themed channels now available on demand. The best part? It’s on the house.

From Monday 17 November, customers with our Stream box, Virgin TV 360 or our Virgin TV V6 box (powered by TiVo®) can enjoy 11 popular themed streaming channels on demand at no extra cost.

With themed channels, you can immerse yourself in your favourite genres and activities or get lost in round-the-clock episodes of hit TV shows. Perfect if you know what you like and don’t fancy searching far and wide to find it.

Whether you want side-splitting stand-up, an easy comfort series or gripping true crime, our new on demand offering makes it even easier to dive in. And because our themed channel shows can’t be recorded, having on demand in your arsenal now means you’ll never miss the moments you love.

Please note, if you watch TV on our TiVo® box, you will not be able to access our themed channels. But it’s super easy to upgrade to our latest Virgin TV box.

Here’s everything you need to know…

With our new on demand selection, you can explore a range of themed shows whenever it suits you. No more waiting for your favourite episode to drop or cursing the universe you’ve just missed it. From live comedy to lifestyle favourites, true crime, pets and classic nostalgia, it’s all there waiting, and whenever you want it. 

On demand will be available for the following themed channels:

There are two ways to catch up on themed channel shows you might have missed:

1. Via the Virgin Media On Demand Streaming app on your Virgin TV box. Just head to Apps section in your Home menu and get stuck in.

2. Search for the show you want to find. Tap the magnifying glass on the remote control and get typing – just a few letters are usually enough for Smart Search to do its job.

If you’re looking for on demand shows from our Pluto TV channels (Catfish, 5 Cops and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) and Rakuten TV channels (Rakuten TV Action and Rakuten Top Movies), you’ll need to open the Pluto TV and Rakuten apps to watch them.

To access our linear themed channels, navigate to that channel in your Virgin TV guide. If you have our V6 box, you’ll be asked to press the Red Button to launch the channel. You can return to the TV Guide whenever you want by pressing Back or another exit button.

If you have our 360 or Stream boxes, then the channel will launch automatically after 1 second. You can also return to the TV Guide whenever you want by pressing Back or another exit button.

Remember, if you watch TV on our TiVo® box, you will not be able to access our themed channels. But it’s super easy to upgrade to our latest Virgin TV box.
