The Broadway, Southall, London

Ram, a suspect in season four’s mystery, lives in the multicultural area of Southall, a colourful street with Asian shops and clothing stores. Unforgotten was filmed along The Broadway, which runs through the area, and you’ll find Ram’s family’s clothing shop along this road.

Garret Hostel Lane Bridge, Cambridge

Season four also had scenes in Cambridge’s historic city centre. At one point, Liz cycles over the famous Garret Hostel Lane Bridge, close to Trinity College. The steep incline of the bridge makes it tough for cyclists, but it does have a nice view of the River Cam.

Brighton Pier, Brighton

Brighton was the backdrop for most of season two of Unforgotten. A trip to Brighton isn’t complete without walking on the pier. Cassie and Sunny walk along this windswept landmark at one point and it can be seen in scenes filmed along Marine Parade.

Clifton Suspension Bridge, Bristol, Avon

Bristol was a major filming location for season three. The show managed to sneak in a scene of the city’s most recognisable landmark: Clifton Suspension Bridge. Opened in 1864, the bridge is a feat of engineering. It was originally built for pedestrians and horse-drawn carriages and was so well constructed, it can still be crossed by walkers and vehicles. You can enjoy beautiful views over Bristol and the surrounding countryside.

Winnats Pass, Castleton, Derbyshire

If you’ve fallen in love with the sweeping countryside landscapes in season four, head to the Peak District. Winnats Pass is one of the most recognisable locations, a limestone valley and a good place to find ancient marine fossils. The valley is just outside Castleton. The lush green scenery makes it perfect for a long stroll through the countryside.

Rochester Cathedral, Rochester, Kent

The opening scenes of season four feature the charming historic town of Rochester, Kent. One of the stand-out sights is Rochester Cathedral, dating back to before the Normans. You can still see the outlines of the original building, laid around AD604 The cathedral has beautifully preserved medieval and gothic features that give it an imposing style.

The Maid’s Head, Tuesday Market Place, King’s Lynn, Norfolk

Those pub scenes featuring suspect Pete Carr were filmed in the historic Maid’s Head pub in the market town of King’s Lynn. The Maid’s Head dates back to the 12th-century. You can enjoy more than just a pint. It’s also a restaurant and there’s a hotel upstairs, just in case you’re tired from a long day of solving crimes.
