Want to know what you can watch on these incredible channels? Here are just some of the sports awaiting you in March 2022 and beyond…

Scottish Cup

There are few things in life as disappointing watching a nil-nil draw play out in all its goalless drudgery. So, if it’s goals you want, Premier Sports has got you covered this season. With an average 3.06 goals per game, the Scottish Cup is unbeatable value. By contrast, the Arsenal team in the 1990s would take three whole matches to achieve those three goals…

Starting with the quarter-finals, both Dundee sides are in action against the Old Firm. First up, Dundee welcome last season’s league champions Rangers to Dens Park – Sunday 13 March, 3.30pm, Premier Sports 1 HD (CH 551). The Glasgow side are celebrating their 150th anniversary in 2022, and they’d love this prestigious trophy to mark the occasion.

Meanwhile, last year’s semi-finalists Dundee United take on a table-topping Celtic – Monday 14 March, 7.15pm, Premier Sports 1 HD (CH 551) – who are looking to take home triple honours this season after already bagging the Scottish League cup back in December. You’d have to go back to 2015 for the last time the Terrors held this trophy. But in a knockout contest, anything is possible.

And once these ties are decided, you’ll also be about to catch the semi-finals and final.

LaLiga

Don’t miss a second of the pulsating, scintillating and flare football from Spain on LaLiga TV. And what a season the 2021/22 term has turned out to be. While the familiar sight of Real Madrid atop the league isn’t such a surprise (last time winners in 2020), Barcelona are miles off the pace with Sevilla turning out to be this year’s most-likely challengers for the crown (making the Madrid v Sevilla tie on Premier Sports in April a must-watch).

But league status matters very little when it comes to El Classico – Sunday 20 March, 8pm, LaLiga TV (CH 554). This time, we’re at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium as Barcelona look to inflict a big wound on their arch-rival’s title tilt and begin to turn their own tide for a club that remarkably last finished as LaLiga champions back in the distant 2019.

With LaLiga games every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

United Rugby Championships

On Premier Sports, you can catch all 151 games from the United Rugby Championship as the best rugby union teams from Ireland, Italy, Scotland, South Africa and Wales compete to become champions. Last year, it was Ireland’s Leinster Rugby who were top of the pile – and they’ve started this season where they left off, propelled by the impressive attacking duo of Ross Byrne and Scott Penny.

But Leinster are far from invincible, as Cardiff and Ulster showed them earlier in the season – with the latter emerging as real challengers, thanks in part to a mean defence led by Nick Timoney. How will Leinster react to the challenge as they go up against Ulster once again, in what may be the match of the season – Saturday 12 March, 7pm, Premier Sports 1 HD (CH 551).
