Charity week 2016 - celebrating our partnership with Scope

21st July 2016

I've just about recovered after travelling the length and breadth of the UK during Charity Week (4-8 July), during which we celebrated our partnership with Scope and inspired our people to get involved and raise vital funds for Scope. You can find out more about our 2 year, £1m partnership that’s all about transforming lives through digital here.

From tug of war to bake sales, gunge to giant jenga, we’ve had a fantastic week and so many of our people got stuck in at our sites up and down the country. Some of my personal highlights include watching the Miss Activate catwalk in Peterborough, soaking some of our senior leaders in Hook and hearing that an impressive 1,000 people bought a tombola ticket in Bellshill.

Here are some of the activity highlights:

Over the course of the week our people raised £24,704.85 which Virgin Media is going to match to bring the grand total to £49,409.70. This money will be used by Scope to continue the great work they do the transform the lives of disabled people in the UK.

I’m looking forward to our 2017 Charity Week already.
