Delivering on our gamechanging charity ambitions

21st September 2015

In July, we announced our 5 in 5 Sustainability goals alongside our new two-part sustainability strategy; one key pillar of which is Doing more good with digital. A big part of both our goals and the Digital for good part of our strategy is working with our national charity partner, Scope, who we’ve partnered with to transform the lives of people living with a disability through digital technology.

As part of our new strategy and bigger ambition in the charity space, we’ve created new regional roles that will coordinate our ‘Digital for Good’ activity right across the country. These Digital for Good Champions will look after all charity and volunteering events, Virgin Media Pioneers activities and they'll ensure that we're engaging with the local communities that we expand our network into, as part of Project Lightning.

In recognition of the importance our Doing more good with digital sustainability strategy, the business has committed the champions to have 25% of their existing time formally dedicated to delivering our strategy. There was a lot of interest internally in these roles and today I'm pleased to announce the final team!

Introducing our Digital For Good Champions

Our Digital for Good Champions - sitting pretty in the pic below - are going to hit the ground running with Charity Week (19- 23 October) just around the corner. We'll be back in touch to let you know how the week goes.
