What doesn't Virgin Media's Web Safe do?

Web Safe works with any device connected to your home network to block:

  • Websites with which are known to contain viruses
  • Websites with malicious or unsuitable content

However, it’s important to remember that while you can rely on Web Safe to block websites that contain viruses and inappropriate content from reaching your devices, it can’t do everything.

There are new inappropriate websites and viruses created every single day, and although Web Safe is constantly updated to help you block them, there is the chance of some slipping through the net.

That’s why it’s important to consider additional protection, like F-Secure SAFE.

Remember Web Safe will only protect devices connected through your Virgin Broadband connection.

Although we will always do our best to provide families with excellent parental control tools, it’s important to remember no technology provides 100% protection from all the potential issues kids face online. That’s why we encourage parents to find out about and speak to their kids about a broader range of issues.
