Plus, to give you even more flexibility, you can choose what plan to add to your Virgin Media broadband package.

What is Volt?

Volt is our way of giving you more when you pair Virgin Media’s lightning-fast broadband with an O2 SIM. It gives you extra perks and upgrades that kick in automatically when your household has Virgin Media broadband and an O2 Pay Monthly SIM plan, giving you more speed, more data and loads of great extras just for being with us.
When you’re eligible for Volt, we’ll upgrade your broadband to the next available speed tier at no extra cost (if you aren’t already on the fastest tier in your area) and double your data on your O2 SIM so you can stay connected when you’re out and about. That means smoother streaming and better connectivity, no matter where you are.
But Volt doesn’t stop there. Because you’re already with Virgin Media, we’ll throw in double the amount of data you choose and do the same for every other eligible O2 plan in your household. We’ll also give you roaming in 75 destinations worldwide (if the plan you pick doesn’t already include it) – so the fun doesn’t stop when you’re jetting around the globe.
And don’t forget, you’ll still get exclusive rewards and experiences with Priority from O2 – like 48-hour ticket presales and VIP treatment at all O2 venues – just for being part of the family. Because life’s yours for grabbing, when you’re with us both.

When you’re with Virgin Media and O2, you’ll unlock loads of great extras at no extra cost with Volt.
Here’s what you’ll get:
With more data-hungry devices at home than ever, you need speeds that can handle the lot. That’s why we’ll boost your Virgin Media broadband speed to the next available level (up to 1Gbps) – on the house. That gives you more power to scroll, stream and meme to the extreme on even more screens.
Do more of the good stuff, wherever you are, with double data on all O2 Pay Monthly plans in your household. Video call your bestie, post your latest grid pic or keep that Duolingo streak blazing, without the hassle of hunting for the nearest WiFi hotspot.
Kick back with at least 30Mbps in every room, or £100 back. And if you need a signal boost in those hard-to-reach spots, we’ll sort you out with up to three WiFi Pods, on us. So you can keep ultra HD streaming, superfast Zooming and endless TikToking, wherever you are in the home.
On top of roaming in Europe as standard (up to 25GB – after that, it’s £3.50 per GB), you’ll bag our O2 Travel Inclusive Zone at no extra cost, too. Who’s eligible for Volt?

If you’ve got both Virgin Media broadband and an O2 Pay Monthly phone, tablet or SIM at home, you’re eligible for Volt. It doesn’t matter if you signed up to us both at the same time or already had one and added the other later; we’ll give you the same great perks either way.
If you’re a Virgin Media customer and you or someone in your household also has an O2 SIM plan, that too means you can unlock Volt benefits. The SIM needs to be a Pay Monthly contract (not Pay as You Go) and it has to be registered to the same address as your broadband account.
If the Virgin Media and O2 accounts are in different names, no worries – we’ll link them for you so you can get all the Volt extras. So, if you have Virgin Media and someone else in your home has O2, that still counts.
Only with one of us? You can add Virgin Media for broadband or an O2 SIM and still get Volt benefits once both services are up and running. Once that’s sorted, just log in to your O2 account and switch Volt on – we’ll take care of the rest.
What are the different Volt plans?
To give you even more flexibility, you can choose from three plans you can add to your Virgin Media broadband package: Classic, Plus or Ultimate Plan.
With our Plus Plan, you’ll enjoy unlimited calls and texts as standard and roll over your unused data to next month. Plus, grab an Extra from O2 for up to six months, on us.

Our Ultimate Plan lets you send all the GIFs you fancy with unlimited MMS messages; roam freely at no extra cost in over 123 countries; stay safe with the McAfee Security app; roll over your unused data to next month; and grab an Extra from O2 for the lifetime of your contract – on us. How do you get Volt?
That's easy! Anyone can take out one of our Volt bundles and grab Volt benefits, as long as you have Virgin Media broadband and an O2 monthly SIM or phone contract at home.
If you’re already with us both
If you’re already with us both, all you need to do is make sure you're signed up to both Virgin Media broadband and an eligible O2 Pay Monthly phone, tablet or SIM to get Volt benefits. If the address on your Virgin Media broadband account matches the address on your O2 mobile account, your Volt benefits will be added automatically within 14 days.
This will happen unless you were already a customer of both before 18 October 2021. In this case, you’ll need to go into My O2 or My Virgin Media to activate your benefits. If they don’t match, you can edit your address in My O2 and My Virgin Media.
If you’re with Virgin Media or O2
If you’re already with O2, you’ll get Volt benefits once you also take out an eligible Virgin Media broadband package or bundle registered at the same address.
The same goes the other way – if you already have Virgin Media broadband but aren’t with O2, you can take out eligible O2 Pay Monthly phones, tablets or SIMs to get Volt benefits.

Volt Benefits: Volt benefits available if you have or sign up to both an eligible Virgin Media broadband service and an eligible O2 Pay Monthly tariff. Excludes Essential broadband customers from 10 November 2022. Volt benefits include (1) Virgin Media broadband speed boost to the next available level (up to a max of 1Gbps download speed) at the point you place your order to become supercharged with Volt (does not include Upload speed add-on); (2) Our moneyback WiFi coverage guarantee with WiFi Max at no extra cost; (3) Double the O2 mobile data for each eligible O2 Pay Monthly Mobile SIMS in the Virgin Media account holder’s name in your household (if you don’t take or already have unlimited O2 mobile data); (4) Roam in 75 worldwide destinations.
In O2’s Europe Zone, your UK minutes, texts and data allowances apply, but if your UK monthly data allowance is over 25GB you’ll have a roaming limit of 25GB. After this you’ll be charged £3.50 per GB until you use up your monthly UK data allowance, you return to the UK or you reach your next bill cycle. In other inclusive international destinations outside of Europe, you get unlimited minutes, texts and data. Roaming subject to fair usage policy. Further terms apply. Volt benefits are applied up to 14 days following order (or up to 14 days following Virgin Media installation for existing eligible O2 customers purchasing Virgin Media broadband).
