The Wrecking Crew

Stream The Wrecking Crew in Apps > Prime Video.

Stream it from Wednesday 28 January in Apps > Prime Video

What happens when two estranged half-brothers are forced to reunite in the aftermath of their father’s mysterious death? Total carnage, of course! That’s the premise of Jonathan Tropper’s action comedy, in which Jonny (Jason Momoa, Aquaman) and James (Dave Bautista, Afterburn) go on a mission to uncover the truth behind their father’s demise while unravelling a conspiracy that threatens to tear their family apart. Claes Bang (The Outlaws), Jacob Batalon (Reginald The Vampire), Stephen Root (Barry) and Morena Baccarin (Deadpool & Wolverine) also star.

Memory Of A Killer

Stream season 1 from Friday 6 February in Apps > Prime Video

Patrick Dempsey is best known for playing dishy neurosurgeon Derek Shepherd in Grey's Anatomy. So, what better place for a contract killer to hide than behind the skin of TV’s Sexiest Men of 2011? But this isn’t just your run-of-the-mill handsome-killer-with-a-double-life show. Dempsey plays Angelo, a man juggling the mundane with the murders, who is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease – something even a man with his particular set of skills can’t outrun.

Cross

Stream the first three episodes of season 2 from Wednesday 11 February in Apps > Prime Video. New episodes will be released weekly on Wednesdays. Season 1 available now

Alex Cross, author James Patterson’s decorated homicide detective and forensic psychologist, was memorably played by Morgan Freeman in successful movie adaptations. But Aldis Hodge might be the best embodiment of the character yet. After an acclaimed first TV season, Cross is back, and the pulsating script pushes him into a bolder, more dangerous chapter as he finds himself in pursuit of a ruthless vigilante who is hunting down corrupt billionaire magnates, leaving behind gruesome clues.

56 Days

Stream season 1 from Wednesday 18 February in Apps > Prime Video

In the grand tradition of erotic thrillers like Fatal Attraction and Basic Instinct comes 56 Days, adapted from Catherine Ryan Howard’s bestselling novel. Oliver (Avan Jogia) and Ciara (Dove Cameron) fall for each other, madly and passionately and dangerously fast. Fifty-six days later, there’s an unidentified body – brutally murdered and intentionally decomposed. Did he kill her? Or did she kill him? It will keep you guessing right until the end. Karla Souza and Dorian Missick also star.

The best new TV shows and movies streaming on BBC iPlayer in February 2026

The best new TV shows and movies streaming on BBC iPlayer in July 2025

The Apprentice

Stream series 20 now in Apps > BBC iPlayer with new episodes released weekly on Thursdays. Series 17-19 available now

Lord Sugar (or “Siralan” if you’re a fan of his earlier stuff) is back in the boardroom alongside 20 candidates hoping to secure his £250,000 investment. They’ll take on tasks in London, Hong Kong and Egypt in this series under the watchful eyes of Karren Brady and Tim Campbell before they finally get to reveal their business proposals, which this time include a touring theatrical production company, personalised pet cremation urns and a promise to “revolutionise the cake and experience industry”.

Lord Of The Flies

Stream it from Sunday 8 February in Apps > BBC iPlayer with new episodes released weekly on Sundays

Adapted for TV by Jack Thorne (Adolescence, His Dark Materials), this new four-part series – incredibly – heralds the first time that William Golding’s popular book about schoolboys stranded on an island with no adults has been made for the small screen. Not surprisingly, its cast is made up of young newcomers, with each episode titled after a character at the core of the story. If Thorne can tap into themes like loss of innocence and boyhood masculinity as he did so devastatingly in Adolescence, this may well be one of the shows of 2026.

Dinosaur

Stream Dinosaur series 2 in Apps > BBC iPlayer.

Stream series 2 from Thursday 5 February in Apps > BBC iPlayer. Series 1 available now

The first series of Scottish comedy Dinosaur was one of 2024’s best shows, scooping a wheelbarrow full of awards. Telling the story of Nina (co-creator, writer and star Ashley Storrie), an autistic woman in her 30s whose life is turned upside down when her sister and best friend suddenly announces she’s engaged, it was sweet, honest and hilarious. Now Nina is back after eight months knee-deep in mud on an Isle of Wight dig. But for a woman so averse to change, there’s some bad news: everything’s changed.

Small Prophets

Stream series 1 from Monday 9 February in Apps > BBC iPlayer

Detectorists creator/star Mackenzie Crook makes a welcome return with his surrealist new comedy. Eccentric widower Michael (Detectorists’ Pearce Quigley), bored with his humdrum life working in a hardware store, decides to follow the advice his father (Michael Palin) gave him by trying to create Homunculi, magical spirits that predict the future. Expect wit, wonder and whimsy in this series that intertwines live action with imaginative animation. Crook co-stars along with Sophie Willan (Alma’s Not Normal), Jon Pointing (Big Boys) and Lauren Patel (Waterloo Road).
