Ho, ho, ho… the winner of our magical Christmas Stars competition is here!

Virgin Media Christmas Stars 2019

Drum roll, please! The winner of our national Christmas Stars competition is Scotland’s Stanley Primary School with their feel-good play Secret Agent Santa!

The school’s play is being made available, via On Demand, to all of our Virgin TV customers this Christmas, so everyone can enjoy this fantastic festive tale.

Secret Agent Santa is set in the South Pole and features a gang of disgruntled birds, known as the Cheeky Penguins, who kidnap Santa’s elves from the North Pole and force them to work in an ice cube factory. It’s left to Santa, Mrs Claus and Elf-in-training Peggy to go undercover and infiltrate the penguin’s ice palace to rescue the elves and save Christmas.

TV star Stephen Mulhern adds extra magic by giving a very special introduction to their play, which features perfect performances, laugh-out-loud moments and sing-a-long songs. It will be available to watch until 31 December 2019.

The school has also won £10,000. Plus, thanks to our friends at Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit West End show, School Of Rock The Musical, a class will travel to the Gillian Lynne Theatre in London for an electric, rip-roaring performance masterclass and get tickets to see the show, too.

To keep the Christmas spirit going, School Of Rock The Musical is also generously giving Stanley Primary School ten ukuleles, so they can keep strumming first-class performances well into 2020.

And, as it’s the season of goodwill, there are plenty of prizes for the runner-up school and 22 semi-finalists. The runner-up school has won £1,000 plus 15 ukuleles, while each semi-finalist will receive £100 and two ukuleles.

Hurrah for Christmas!

Unleash your inner rock god at School Of Rock The Musical in the West End, where a band of insanely talented kids play live at every show! It’s “the most enjoyable few hours money can buy”, according to The Daily Telegraph, while The Sunday Times has branded it “a five-star triumph”.

Featuring 14 new songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber and all the original songs from the hit movie starring Jack Black, this high-octane smash delivers face-melting guitar riffs and touching romance in equal measure.
