In this horror flick, Christopher Denham (Argo) is a former war photographer who finds that a camera he’s been given is up to no good. The photos he develops all portray horrifying corpses where there was, of course, nothing. And things soon take a turn for the worse…

The Battleship Island

In this Korean historical thriller, 400 prisoners attempt to escape from a Japanese prison camp during World War II. Hwang Jung-min (The Wailing) is desperate to get his daughter out, while Song Joong-ki (Descendants Of The Sun) is a resistance fighter who plans to infiltrate the camp. It’s full of awe-inspiring reconstructions and set pieces, which makes for an unforgettable watch.

 

Patient Seven

Dr Marcus (Michael Ironside, Starship Troopers) doesn’t know what he’s in for when he arrives at Spring Valley Mental Hospital, eager to interview patients for his book. Turns out that their stories are, ahem, rather hellish – and their misdeeds might not quite be over. This horror also stars Drew Fonteiro (Jane The Virgin) and Alfie Allen (John Wick).
