The Virgin Media Connect app is the control unit for your WiFi that helps get your Virgin Media broadband up and running. We know how useful the Connect app has been for helping you manage your WiFi in your home. So we’ve launched a shiny new version that’s even better than before. In fact we guarantee the fastest WiFi of any major provider.
The Connect app lets you run a super-intelligent WiFi home scan to smooth out any snags, speed up your connection all around the house, and pause WiFi to any device when you need to – perfect for when it’s the kids’ bedtime. Plus, if you ever need us, we’re on live chat from 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week.
Here’s a little more about how to manage your WiFi…
The app’s available to everyone with a Hub 3, 4 or 5. Not sure which Hub you’ve got? Have a peek at the sticker on the bottom or check through the Connect app.
And don’t forget, our WiFi guarantee with WiFi Max is our promise you’ll enjoy download speeds of at least 20Mbps in every room or get £100 bill credit. It’s backed up by our signal-boosting mesh WiFi Pods (if needed) and Intelligent WiFi service – at no extra cost with Gig1 Fibre Broadband and our Volt packages.
This means if you don’t get download speeds of at least 20Mbps in every room, you can bag up to 3 WiFi Pods, on us – and if that still doesn’t do the trick, we’ll pop £100 credit on your next bill. Run a super-intelligent WiFi home scan
It’s our new-and-improved two-step speed test powered by SamKnows. First, it tests your broadband speed to make sure there are no issues. Then, it guides you around your home, room by room, to check WiFi performance in each one. Just connect to the Hub, tap ‘Start the scan’ then let the app take you through the rest. If the scan finds any areas without superfast WiFi, we’ll suggest ways to improve it – with our WiFi Pods, for example. Sorted!
Manage WiFi Pods
Got a WiFi Pod? With the Connect app, you can check out how all your WiFi Pods are doing – see their signal strength, which devices are connected to each one, get troubleshooting tips, rename them and much more.
Pause WiFi to your devices
See all your connected devices and pause WiFi to individual ones whenever you like – perfect for when it’s the kids’ bedtime.
