Sky Sports+ is a new service bringing you even more live sport – all at no extra cost for Sky Sports subscribers – and it couldn’t be easier to watch it. Here’s what you need to know

By Virgin TV Edit

Love all the live sporting action on Sky Sports? This August, it’s getting even better. Sky Sports+ is a new service that means Sky Sports is now bringing you far more live sport than ever before – a 50% increase, in fact – at no extra cost to subscribers.

And you don’t have to do anything. If you’re a subscriber, Sky Sports+ is available to you from Thursday 8 August on Virgin TV. With the new football season about to start, that’s a massive uptick in the number of games you’ll get access to. You’ll get dozens of matches from the always thrilling EFL, with every one of the 72 teams – from giants like Leeds United and West Brom to new boys Bromley – featured live at least 20 times this season. You’ll also get every single Carabao Cup game, from the early rounds as the EFL clubs face off to the final at Wembley.

And it’s not just football. You also get every game from rugby league’s all-action men’s Super League, as some of the toughest athletes in the world strive to reach the grand final. There’s extensive live coverage of more than 100 tennis tournaments from around the world, including the US Open and plenty more from the ATP and WTA tours.

Sky Sports+ also has some fantastic sporting documentaries, available to Sky Sports subscribers two weeks before they premiere on Sky Documentaries. And of course that’s on top of all the terrific live sport already on Sky Sports, including football from the Premier League, Scottish Premiership and Women’s Super League, Formula One, golf majors, international cricket, Darts World Championship and much more.

Even more of the sport you love, all in one place and at no extra cost – Sky Sports+ is a brilliant addition to your TV package.

How do I watch Sky Sports+ on Virgin TV?

If you watch TV on our Virgin TV 360 box or Stream from Virgin Media, there are three ways to access Sky Sports+. You’ll find the best action available in HD or SD (depending on your subscription) on CH 508, formerly Sky Sports Arena, with all the live action accessible at the touch of a button on Sky Sports+ Red Button. This can be accessed by pressing the red button on your remote (not the Record button) on any Sky Sports channel.

And you can also use the Sky Sports app (available free to all Sky Sports subscribers) to get all the live sport available on Sky Sports+, with the added bonus that you can watch wherever you are in the UK, as long as there’s WiFi, 3G or 4G.

If you watch on our TiVo® box or V6 box (powered by TiVo), you can get all the action on Sky Sports+ on CH 508 in HD (or SD on CH 518) or the Sky Sports app. You can’t get the Sky Sports+ Red Button, though, so if that sounds like something you want then it’s super-simple to upgrade your Virgin TV box. Just contact us on 0345 454 1111 (or call 150 from a Virgin Media phone).

If you’re an existing broadband customer who wants to add a TV package to your subscription, find out more about them here.
