The best TV moments of 2021 revealed!

This year has been a lot in so, so, so many ways. But TV was always there for us

And they said that 2020 was a year like no other. Then 2021 came along with a firm idea to make the year more of the same. We started the year with lockdowns, home schooling, working from home and plenty more of the stuff that supposedly made 2020 so unique. It was a hard start to a year that had promised so much.

But 2021 did eventually break out of 2020’s shadow. It brought with it some incredible TV (the very best of which you can find here) and as we end the year, despite everything, there is hope that the next year will be different.

Once again, television has played a vital role in telling the story of this year. Slowly, TV started to look normal again. We started to see audiences in TV shows. The big dramas returned to our screens (including the biggest in Line Of Duty, a show that had to halt filming right at the start of the pandemic). And once again, it brought us together. Those big must-see TV moments were vital.

In May 2022, the Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards will bring the country together to celebrate the best television of this past year. And once again, we’ll ask the Great British public to vote on the Virgin Media Must-See Moment, the audience award for the massive moments that got everyone talking.
