Can I add Netflix Billing to my Virgin Media bill?

These days, the telly we love lives in different places. That’s why Netflix is built into our latest Virgin TV boxes – with our Netflix app for easy access.

Now, new Netflix customers with Virgin Media can choose to pay for their Netflix subscription through their Virgin Media bill when they join, so there’s just one hassle-free payment for both Netflix and your Virgin Media services.

With Virgin Media Billing with Netflix, your subscription will be with Netflix but because you’ve chosen Virgin Media as your payment method, your Netflix charge will be added to your Virgin Media bill for an easy combined payment together with your Virgin Media services each month.

For more help on Netflix billing and what this means check our FAQs below.

If you’ve completed the Netflix sign-up process through your V6 or TiVo box and have Virgin Media as your payment option, Netflix will notify us of your subscription charge which will be added to your Virgin Media account.

You’ll then just pay this together with your other Virgin Media services on your bill. If you pay us through Direct Debit, this means we’ll add it to your monthly payment without you having to do anything else.

If you don’t see the option for Virgin Media billing on your V6 or TiVo box, or if you sign up via the Netflix website, you will need to pay for Netflix directly to Netflix  instead of having your subscription being added your Virgin Media bill.

For more help understanding your bill, visit our Billing help.

When you join Netflix your subscription charges start from the day you join. We may create your Virgin Media bill for your services with us on a different day.

Normally each Virgin Media bill will include one renewal fee for your Netflix subscription.

However, when your Netflix subscription renewal date and Virgin Media bill date are very close together, you may occasionally see some changes to how the Netflix renewal fee shows on your Virgin Media bill.

Sometimes we may prepare your Virgin Media bill before your next monthly Netflix subscription is up for renewal - in that case you may not see a Netflix subscription renewal fee on that bill. Where this happens, you may see Netflix subscription renewal fees for two months on your next Virgin Media bill instead of one month’s renewal fee. Don’t worry, you won’t be charged any extra for Netflix than you normally are. In case you’re ever in doubt, the date of your Netflix billed through date is listed on your Virgin Media bill.

You’ll see the Netflix renewal fee charge in the On Demand usage charges section of your Virgin Media bill.

If you’ve registered for e-billing, you can see any Netflix renewal fees charged to your account since your last bill in the Interactive & On Demand section in My Virgin Media, and the My Virgin Media app.

If you would like to add Netflix to your Virgin Media bill, you’ll need to cancel your current Netflix subscription and wait until your subscription period ends.

Once your existing Netflix subscription ends, you may be able to add Netflix to your Virgin Media bill when you restart your subscription via your V6 or TiVo box. However as we’re currently offering Virgin Media Billing with Netflix to a limited number of customers who sign up through the Netflix app on your TiVo or V6 box, you may not see this option when you restart your subscription.

Netflix will let you know if any subscription offers are available when you restart your subscription.

Yes! When you join Netflix straight from your V6 or TiVo box, you’ll get the Premium Netflix plan by default, which includes access to 4K Ultra HD streaming, but you can change it to another plan if you’d like during sign up. If you choose another Netflix plan you’ll only have access to the streaming format available in that plan.

To view Netflix content in 4K Ultra HD on a Virgin Media set top box, you’ll need our V6 box and compatible 4K Ultra HD kit along with the Netflix Premium plan.

Need help with 4K Ultra HD? See Connecting 4K Ultra HD kit to the Virgin TV V6 box.

It's easy to change your Netflix plan at any time. Simply sign in to your Netflix account at netflix.com/youraccount to manage your account, including your plan details.

For any queries about your Netflix subscription, please visit Netflix’s Help Centre.

Any changes to your Netflix subscription will be added to your Virgin Media bill and shown in the My Bills section of your My Virgin Media account.

When you pay your Netflix subscription via your Virgin Media bill, you’ll need to make sure you’re all up to date with your payments to us.

If you don’t keep your payments up to date with Virgin Media, Virgin Media will let Netflix know you are no longer able to pay and we’ll cancel your Netflix subscription. You may rejoin directly with Netflix by adding a new payment method on file directly with Netflix if this happens.

When you pay your Netflix subscription via your Virgin Media bill, you’ll need to make sure you’re all up to date with your payments to us.

If you don’t keep your payments up to date, Netflix may cancel your current subscription with them and the charges on your Virgin Media bill will stop.

You’ll be able to use Netflix until the end of the subscription period you’ve paid for on your final Virgin Media bill.

Once we’ve stopped billing you for your Netflix subscription, Netflix will let you know how you can update your account payment to pay Netflix directly.

Of course! You can join Netflix and cancel at any time in the same way that any subscriber to Netflix can. To make any changes or to cancel your Netflix subscription go to the Netflix website (www.netflix.com/account) and follow the instructions.

Please remember that the Virgin Media bill that includes your final Netflix subscription renewal fee may be due for payment after the end of your Netflix subscription period.
