How do I configure advanced settings on my Virgin Media hub?

Select your Virgin Media Hub below for information on how to configure the advanced settings on your Hub.

Hub 3.0

How to access advanced settings

1. Take a look at the sticker, which looks like one of the following, on the bottom of the Hub 3.0 and locate the web address under To access the settings page

2. Open a Web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) and enter the address http://192.168.0.1

Note: If you have enabled Modem Mode on your Hub 3.0 you will need to use 192.168.100.1 instead.

3. When prompted, enter the settings password shown on the sticker

Once you’ve accessed the page there are a variety of settings you can change.

On the home page there are quick setup options for:

  • Configure your WiFi connection - allows you to change your WiFi network name (SSID) and WiFi password
  • Network diagnostic tool - allows you to run diagnostic tests on you router
  • Modify your Guest network - allows you to setup or modify your Guest network settings

There are also additional settings you can change from the menus on the left:

  • Modem Mode - you can enable or disable modem mode
  • Advanced Settings - you can change all your WiFi and network settings
  • Admin - allows you to change the password for accessing this page

Super Hub 2ac

How to access advanced settings

1. Take a look at the sticker, which looks like one of the following, on the bottom of the Super Hub 2ac and locate the web address under To access the settings page

2. Open a Web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) and enter the address http://192.168.0.1

Note: If you have enabled Modem Mode on your new Super Hub you will need to use 192.168.100.1 instead.

3. When prompted, enter the password shown on the sticker. 

Note: You may also be prompted to enter the WPS password

Once you’ve accessed the page there are three types of settings you can change:

  • Wireless Network Settings – allows you to change your WiFi security settings, to disable broadcasting your WiFi network name, and even to disable WiFi altogether
  • Super Hub Settings – allows you to change the password for accessing this page
  • Device Connection Status – allows you to view details on the Super Hub's current status, along with details about any devices that are connected to the Super Hub

In addition, there’s a link for Advanced Settings at the bottom of the screen.

1. Take a look at the sticker on the back of the Super Hub and locate the web address under Super Hub Settings

2. Open a Web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) and enter the address http://192.168.0.1

Note: If you have enabled Modem Mode on your Super Hub (the logo on the front will be glowing purple) you will need to use 192.168.100.1 instead.

3. When prompted, enter the password shown on the sticker. 

Note: You may also be prompted to enter the WPS password
