How to connect your devices to Virgin Media Broadband

If you can’t get your Android, Apple or Windows device online, this article will help you to connect your devices to the WiFi.



Connect my Android device to the WiFi

If your Android tablet or phone won’t connect to the WiFi, we’ll show you how to get online in the steps below.

  1. From the home screen, swipe up or down to access apps and select Settings

  2. Select Connections > WiFi

  3. Select your Virgin Media WiFi network name from the list

  4. Enter your WiFi password and select Connect


Connect my Windows device to the WiFi

To learn how to connect a laptop to the WiFi, or any other Windows device, follow the steps below.

Suitable for Windows 10 and older versions of Windows.

  1. Select the Network icon in the taskbar’s notification area, this is usually at the bottom of your screen

  2. Select your Virgin Media WiFi network name from the list, then select Connect

  3. Enter your WiFi password, then select OK to connect


Connect my Apple device to the WiFi

If your iPhone won’t connect to the WiFi, we’ll show you how. These steps will also work if your iPad’s not connecting to the WiFi.

  1. From the home screen, select the Settings app

  2. Select WiFi

  3. Select your Virgin Media WiFi network name from the list

  4. Enter your WiFi password and select Join

If your Apple Mac won’t connect to the WiFi, the steps below will show you how you can get online.

  1. Select the WiFi icon in the top menu bar, if it’s switched off, turn it on

  2. Select your Virgin Media WiFi network name from the list

  3. Enter your WiFi password and select Join

Your device should now be connected to Virgin Media broadband.

How to connect my games console to Virgin Media Broadband

Let’s help you get your games console connected to your Virgin Media Broadband in a few simple steps.   1. Firstly you’ll need to locate the WiFi network name and password. This can be found either on back or bottom of the Hub. The WiFi network name starts with the letters VM.

  2. Select your console below to find instructions on how to connect it to the Hub. If your games console does not detect a wired connection, you may be prompted to select a network.

To connect your console to your wireless network:

  1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide

  2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings

  3. Select Set up wireless network

  4. Select your wireless network from the list of available networks

I think my Virgin Media WiFi is not working
