Where can I use Virgin Media WiFi hotspots?

Last updated: September 3, 2018

The Virgin Media Connect app gives Virgin Fibre and Virgin Mobile customers free access to over 20 million WiFi hotspots in the UK and abroad – including in the USA. Also on the 3rd bullet point 'Connect to more than 12m+ hotspots in the UK and abroad' should read 20 million not 12m

Where can I use the Virgin Media WiFi hotspots in the UK?

You'll be able to connect in all sorts of places, including:

  • Free WiFi on your mobile at 3.5 million+ hotspots across the UK
  • Connect to half of all UK public WiFi hotspots, with our app
  • Connect to more than 12m+ hotspots in the UK and abroad

There’s also a growing number of Virgin Media WiFi hotspots on selected streets (such as phone booths and cable cabinets).

You can even stay connected at major airports, including Stansted, Manchester, Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Glasgow International. And, if that’s not enough, you can get online in over 250 London Underground stations and in all Glasgow Subway stations.

We’re adding new hotspots in more places all the time, so you can stay securely connected while out and about.

You can find our hotspots using the handy map feature in the WiFi hotspots tab of the app.

Please note that Virgin Trains and Virgin Media are different companies and offer separate WiFi services. Virgin Media doesn't run or look after the Virgin Trains WiFi service and this app won't connect you to the Virgin Trains WiFi service.

Countries include:

  • Ireland
  • Germany
  • Austria
  • Switzerland
  • Netherlands
  • Belgium
  • Poland
  • Czech Republic
  • Slovakia
  • Hungary
  • Romania

Don't forget you can find all of these using our handy map feature in the WiFi hotspots tab of the app.

More WiFi

If you’re a Virgin Mobile customer, you can connect to more WiFi in loads of extra places across the UK including coffee chains, restaurants and shops.

Just bear in mind that these open hotspots are managed by popular venues along the high street, not Virgin Media.

On an Android device you can enable or disable the 'More WiFi' feature by using the toggle within the Connect app settings. On an iPhone you can remove the 'More WiFi networks' profile in your device settings.
