Using Virgin TV Go with a browser

When you first open the Virgin TV Go using a supported browser, you’ll be asked to sign in or register. See Signing in to Virgin TV Go for details on how to do this.

On the Home screen you’ll see picks of TV from Live TV and On Demand.

Most Popular shows a list of Live TV channels based on how many people are watching the channel using Virgin TV Go.

 

To customise which channels show in Virgin TV Go, see Settings on Virgin TV Go.

To watch Live TV:

 

Live TV shows what’s on your TV channels right now, with an image preview for each of your channels.

By default the channels in Live TV are sorted based on the channel position on Virgin TV. To change this you can choose Most Watched, or personalise your channel line up using My TV Channels in Settings.

You can also search for a specific channel using Search. For details on how to search see Searching in Virgin TV Go.

Once you’ve found a channel you’d like to watch, tap the show preview to start watching.

You’ll be prompted to register your device if you’ve not already done so. For more details on device registration see Registering your devices with Virgin TV Go.

This shows your TV channels on Virgin TV Go. You can sort your view by Day.

You can also search the TV Guide for a specific channel using the Search box.

By default the channels in Live TV are sorted based on the channel position on Virgin TV. To change this you can personalise your channel line up using My TV Channels in Settings.

Show Information

Once you’ve found a channel you’d like to watch, tap a show title for more information on your chosen show.

Watch Now

If the show you’ve chosen is available to view, you'll see a Watch Now option, or a Play icon on the show image. Tap to start watching.

You’ll be prompted to register your device if you’ve not already done so. For more details on device registration see Registering your devices with Virgin TV Go.

To watch On Demand go to using your browser:

  • Go to virgintvgo.virginmedia.com
  • Select a show tile from the Home screen categories, or choose On Demand and then pick a show from the On Demand categories

 

When you choose an On Demand show to watch you’ll see the show information page. This will show details of your show, and how many episodes are available to watch.

Once you’ve selected the show episode you want to watch, select Watch Now or click the play icon on the show image. If you’re not signed in to Virgin TV Go you’ll be asked to do so.

You’ll be prompted to register your device if you’ve not already done so. For more details on device registration see Registering your devices with Virgin TV Go.

Finding shows to watch from On Demand couldn’t be simpler. You can find shows via the On Demand categories or search Virgin TV Go.

You can filter the available On Demand shows by:

  • Category – choose from Discover, Boxsets, Kids or Channels
  • Genre – in Boxsets and Kids, only see On Demand content available in the genre you’ve picked such as Action or Fantasy
  • Sort by – Sort your selection by Popularity, A - Z, or new

If you’ve found an On Demand show that you want to watch, but want to save it to watch it later, you can do so via the Saved folder.

Continue Watching

Once you’ve watched an On Demand show for 3 minutes or more, your show will be saved automatically to Continue Watching in the Saved folder.

When you want to watch your show, just:

  1. Select the Saved folder
  2. Select Continue Watching

You can then pick the saved show you wish to carry on watching.

Watchlist

If you’ve not started watching a show, but have found something you’d like to watch later, saving it to your Watchlist will keep track of your show.

Your Watchlist is synchronised across all devices that you’ve signed into.

To do this:

  1. Find the show you want to save
  2. Select the icon under the show details
  3. Your show will be saved to your Watchlist in the Saved folder

When you want to watch your episode, just:

  1. Select the Saved folder
  2. Select Watchlist

Your saved On Demand shows will be shown.

To remove a saved show from your Watchlist:

  1. Select EDIT
  2. Select the show you wish to remove, or tap Select All to remove all shows from your Watchlist
  3. Select DELETE
