We like to keep things simple. That’s why with Virgin Media, there’s no need for special calling cards or extra access numbers when dialling overseas. Once you’re set up with one of our international call services – such as International anytime chatter - you can make calls to other countries including Australia, India and China straight from your UK landline.
To use your inclusive minutes to make phone calls overseas - without worrying about call costs – simply follow these four easy steps:
- Dial the international access code of the country you’re in.
- Dial the country code for the destination you’re calling.
- Add the destination area code.
- Enter the local number you want to call.
Let’s put those steps into action and work through an example. Say, you’re off on holiday to Australia and want to call the Sydney Opera House to ask about opening times. From your Virgin UK landline, you would:
- Dial ‘00’ - the international access code for the UK.
- Dial ‘61’ – the country code for Australia.
- Dial ‘02’ – the area code for Sydney.
- Dial ‘9250 7111’ – the number for the Sydney Opera House.
