The summer sporting calendar is in full swing and there’s another packed week of live action to enjoy on Virgin TV.

The headline event is the world-famous 24 Hours of Le Mans, where the biggest manufacturers in endurance racing battle for glory around the Circuit de la Sarthe. Practice and qualifying begin this week before the race itself gets under way on Saturday afternoon.

Tennis switches from clay to grass as the HSBC Championships at Queen’s Club continue in west London. The women’s WTA 500 event reaches its conclusion this weekend before the men’s ATP 500 tournament begins on Monday, providing the perfect build-up to Wimbledon.

There’s also elite athletics from the Diamond League, cycling from across Europe, rugby union and rugby league, plus plenty more to keep sports fans entertained throughout the week.

The greatest endurance race in the world moves into competitive mode as qualifying begins at Le Mans. Hypercar manufacturers including Ferrari, Porsche, Toyota, BMW, Cadillac and Peugeot will all be looking to secure a strong grid position ahead of Saturday’s race. While outright victory is decided over 24 gruelling hours, every second counts when it comes to track position.

There is nothing quite like Le Mans. More than 300,000 fans descend on northern France every year to witness motorsport’s ultimate endurance challenge. The 94th running of the race begins on Saturday afternoon, with Ferrari, Porsche, Toyota, BMW, Cadillac and Peugeot among the manufacturers battling for outright honours. Drivers, teams and machines will be pushed to their limits as they tackle a full day and night of racing.
