How to watch HBO Max via Virgin TV

The HBO Max App has officially arrived on Virgin TV, bringing a huge new world of entertainment and live sport straight to your screen. Here’s everything you need to know

If you watch TV on our Stream box or Virgin TV 360, we’ve got some very big news for you. Our family of apps has just got even bigger with the long-awaited arrival of the global streaming service HBO Max – bringing together brilliant entertainment and unmissable live sport in one place.
From Thursday 26 March, with HBO Max, you can start enjoying award-winning dramas, hit comedies, HBO classics and the latest blockbuster releases. Just head to the Apps section from your TV box’s Home screen to find the HBO Max App. From there, you can sign up for HBO Max by following the on-screen instructions.
Please note, if you watch TV on our V6 or TiVo® box, you will not be able to access the HBO Max App. But it’s easy to upgrade to our latest Virgin TV box.

How do I access HBO Max on Virgin TV?

Customers with 360 or Stream boxes can find HBO Max by heading to Apps on their box. Once you’re in the app, you can sign in or choose the plan that suits you.
If you already subscribe to TNT Sports on Virgin TV, or if you want to start subscribing to TNT Sports now, you’ll be able to access all your favourite sport on HBO Max at no extra cost. And there’s plenty of it coming your way with huge competitions from across the sporting world, including this season’s UEFA Champions League matches and every UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League match exclusively live, alongside exclusive Premier League matches plus the Emirates FA Cup, Adobe Women’s FA Cup and more. Just activate your entitlement within the HBO Max App and start streaming.
When is HBO Max launching?
HBO Max launches on Thursday 26 March 2026 in the UK. If you’ve got Virgin TV, you’ll be able to access the HBO Max App on our Stream or 360 box when it launches. An HBO Max subscription is required and is payable separately, with monthly plans available directly through HBO Max.
What will be available on HBO Max?
HBO Max is coming out of the gates swinging as the only place to watch the complete first season of the 2025 Emmy, Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Award-winning Max Original The Pitt, with episodes of the latest second season rolling out weekly.
It will also be the home of brand-new HBO Original series, including Lanterns, based on the iconic DC comic Green Lantern, which premieres in summer 2026, and the new Harry Potter TV series. New HBO Original Series, including DTF: St Louis, Rooster and the third and final season of The Comeback are also coming soon.
You can also catch up on all seasons of Euphoria on HBO Max before the arrival of its eagerly anticipated third season in April. Then there are all the brilliant box sets including Game Of Thrones, The Last Of Us and Friends, as well as blockbuster hits One Battle After Another, Sinners and A Minecraft Movie.
Plus, there’s also plenty for younger viewers, with animated hits including Teen Titans Go! and Looney Tunes. Families will also be able to set up kid-friendly profiles with age-appropriate content and parental controls.
HBO Max on Virgin TV: Frequently asked questions
