While this is a thousand per cent Barbie’s story, Gosling very nearly steals the show, flexing his comedic muscles as much as his actual muscles. When the awards come (and it’s hard to imagine they won’t), Gosling will be right at the front of the queue.

Featuring a star-studded supporting cast that includes Will Ferrell, Emma Mackey, Dua Lipa, America Ferrara, Ncuti Gatwa, Michael Cera and Helen Mirren, plus many surprising Barbies and Kens, this film – like Barbie herself – does it all.
