Want to find out which premieres are coming your way this November? Here are some of the must-watch picks…

Anna And The Apocalypse

Anna And The Apocalypse

Available from Friday 1 November in Sky Cinema on demand. Cert 15

A Scottish horror comedy that blends blood and guts with song and dance numbers? You betcha. It’s Christmas and zombies are on the loose in the sleepy town of Little Haven, leaving Anna (Ella Hunt) and her friends to fight for their lives. This audacious cult hit will have you laughing and retching in equal measure.

The Star

Available from Saturday 2 November in Sky Cinema on demand. Cert U

Gina Rodriguez (Jane The Virgin), Keegan-Michael Key (The Lion King) and Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) lend their voices to this animated family comedy about the birth of Jesus, and the animals that played a part in the Nativity. Big on gags and heart, it’s sure to get you in the mood for the festive season – even if it is November. Christopher Plummer, Oprah Winfrey and Mariah Carey also feature.

The Nutcracker And The Four Realms

Available from Friday 8 November in Sky Cinema on demand. Cert PG

This lavish reimagining of The Nutcracker sees Disney pull out all the stops to make you feel as festive as humanly possible. Transported to a magical kingdom where toys come alive, a young girl (Twilight’s Mackenzie Foy) encounters a world of larger-than-life characters, including Keira Knightley’s Sugar Plum Fairy and Helen Mirren’s Mother Ginger.

Little Monsters

Available from Friday 15 November in cinemas and in Sky Cinema on demand. Cert 15

Grab the popcorn, because this Australian zomcom is tons of blood-splattered fun. Following a zombie outbreak at a military facility, a resourceful teacher (Lupita Nyong’o, Us), a slacker (Alexander England, Alien: Covenant) and a mean-spirited children’s entertainer (Frozen’s Josh Gad) must keep a group of young schoolchildren safe from the clutches of the undead.

The Mule

Available from Saturday 16 November in Sky Cinema on demand. Cert 15

Based on a true story, Clint Eastwood directs and stars in this gritty crime drama about a broke nonagenarian who starts earning some cash by smuggling drugs for Mexican cartels. No one suspects a thing due to his age and race, but DEA agents Bradley Cooper, Laurence Fishburne and Michael Peña eventually start closing in…

Captain Marvel

Available from Friday 22 November in Sky Cinema on demand. Cert 12

Marvel’s eye-popping blockbuster tells the origin story of Carol Danvers (Brie Larson), who must save Earth from warring alien forces after transforming into the all-powerful Captain Marvel. Set in the 1980s and 1990s, this rollicking retro box-office smash will have you on the edge of your seat, jaw planted on the floor.

Dumbo

Available from Friday 29 November in Sky Cinema on demand. Cert PG

Tim Burton’s live-action update of the beloved Disney classic delivers laughs, sentimentality and the cutest CGI elephant you ever did see. Starring Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton and Danny DeVito, think of it as a more socially conscious take on the story of the eponymous circus performer who finds his metaphorical wings courtesy of his massive ears.
