A bruising week of action on BT Sport

Old football foes face off, UFC youngsters aim for the sky and rugby heavyweights collide

Discover one of the meanest teams in sporting history and throw yourself into some fierce rivalries during a blistering week of action

BT Sport round-up, from Friday 7 September

Wasps v Exeter, Woodley v Till and Arsenal v Tottenham (but not in the way you might expect) – get ready for a big week of battles on BT Sport!

The Gunners and Spurs have one of English football’s fiercest and most famous rivalries. But while you’re used to seeing Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Mesut Özil and Aaron Ramsey scrap it out on the pitch, new quiz show Fan TV – Call Yourself A Fan lets the supporters take centre stage!

Someone else who holds the key to his own fate is British MMA fighter Darren Till, who gets his maiden shot at a world title belt at UFC 288. Can the undefeated “Gorilla” reach the sport’s peak on his first attempt?

And to top it all off, the Rugby Premiership season is back with a bang. Not only are we being treated to a southwest showdown as Bath take on Gloucester, but title contenders Wasps and Exeter get an early look at each other too. There are no friendlies here – this is a week of all-out war.

Bad Boys

Friday 7 September, 9pm, BT Sport 2/HD (CH 532/528)

This fascinating documentary (part of a series delving into sports’ most iconic teams) focuses on the infamous Detroit Pistons basketball team of the late 80s and early 90s. Embodying the mantra “win at all costs”, their attitude ultimately turned them into pantomime villains in the eyes of everyone except their own fans.

Fan TV – Call Yourself A Fan

Friday 7 September, 10.15pm, BT Sport 1/HD (CH 531/527)

This new quiz show pits Premier League fanatics against their bitterest rivals in a battle of wits – and only one team can come out on top. This week it’s a fierce North London derby, as Arsenal and Tottenham supporters put their fandom to the test.

Premiership Rugby: Wasps v Exeter Chiefs

Saturday 8 September, 1.30pm, BT Sport 3/HD (CH 533/529)

In a clash between two of the best Premiership sides of the last few years, Exeter head to the Ricoh Arena to face 2016/17 Premiership final rivals Wasps. Exeter won in extra-time that day, but there will be no such luxury as these two heavyweights look to assert themselves on the new season. This is a chance for statements to be made.

Premiership Rugby: Bath v Gloucester

Saturday 8 September, 4.16pm, BT Sport 3/HD (CH 533/529)

It’s a bitter West Country rivalry as Gloucester travel to the Recreation Ground in search of revenge after Bath effectively ended Gloucester’s play-off hopes late last season. Can the Cherry and Whites serve their rivals an early season setback on home turf, or will Bath come out on top?

UFC 228: Tyrone Woodley v Darren Till

Sunday 9 September, 3am, BT Sport 2/HD (CH 532/528)

The welterweight title fight between Tyron Woodley and Darren Till takes centre stage as UFC 228 heads to Dallas, Texas. Liverpudlian Till is undefeated in 18 fights as a pro, and is on the hunt for his first world title. However, Nicco Montano and Valentina Shevchenko might just steal the show when they face off for the women’s flyweight title on the undercard.
