Don’t miss this rip-roaring rematch!

Canelo and GGG go head to head in the ring once again, exclusively live on BT Sport Box Office

After their blockbuster bout last year, two modern-day greats go toe to toe in one of the most eagerly anticipated rematches in decades…

Canelo v GGG 2, Saturday 15 September, 11.30pm, BT Sport Box Office. Price £16.95 (HD only). Booking now open

For the second time in 12 months, two of boxing’s most powerful punchers will battle it out for supremacy. And while 2017’s disappointing and controversial points draw proved something of an anti-climax, the opportunity to watch Saul “Canelo” Álvarez and the undefeated Gennady “GGG” Golovkin share a ring again is far too enticing a prospect to turn down.

With Golovkin’s WBA, WBC and IBO middleweight titles – not to mention the chance to become an all-time great – up for grabs, both fighters have promised to end this rematch without the need for the judges’ scorecards.

The action in the pair’s first contest more than lived up to expectations, with both delivering increasingly punishing blows as the rounds wore on. The balance of dominance swung back and forth even within the rounds – Álvarez usually started quickly, only for Golovkin to come back – and ended up as a too-close-to-call stalemate. The 12th round in particular was one of the greatest three-minute displays of boxing prowess in recent years.

So as they prepare to face off again in Nevada, both fighters will be determined to prove that they have what it takes to gain the outright victory. Plus, after Álvarez’s two failed drugs tests in the intervening months, the Mexican will hope to claw back some respect and dispel any doubts that he’s anything other than a clean, supremely talented fighter.

And for the first time ever, fans can catch every sweat-soaked second live on BT Sport Box Office – and the channel has both Tyson Fury’s titanic battle against WBC heavyweight champ Deontay Wilder and the all-British featherweight bout between IBF world title holder Josh Warrington and Carl Frampton pencilled in for later in the year.
