Chelsea and Spurs gear up for the FA Cup

Who will wow us at Wembley?

Who will wow at Wembley?

It’s time for the Emirates FA Cup semi-finals, live on the BBC and BT Sport

United, Spurs, Chelsea and the Saints all have their eyes on the prize

Emirates FA Cup semi-finals, from Saturday 21 April, 4.55pm, BBC + BT Sport

One weekend. Two massive Emirates FA Cup semi-finals live on the box. And talk about a pair of pulsating all-Premier League ties to get the blood pumping…

First up is a huge clash between Manchester United and Tottenham, live on BBC One. With José Mourinho’s reputation under fire and Mauricio Pochettino in danger of ending another season without a trophy, both managers are facing serious pressure to deliver the goods when the action kicks off.

It’s going to be close. It’s going to be dramatic. It’s going to be tense. And with the VAR (video assistant referee) system added to the mix, who knows what could happen between these star-studded sides?

Once the dust has settled on that showdown, it’ll be time for another unmissable encounter from under the Wembley arch, as last year’s beaten finalists Chelsea go head to head with Southampton, live on BT Sport.

Lifting the Cup might just be enough to save Antonio Conte’s job following a tumultuous campaign for the Blues, while Saints manager Mark Hughes (who won this tournament four times as a player, including once with Chelsea) can boost Southampton by guiding them to their second Wembley final in two seasons. The Londoners are the favourites to win this one, but does the Cup have another surprise up its sleeve?
