We know Southampton fans are among the best in the world, but who are the people behind the images on the Virgin Media Super Saints Fan Wall? Here are some of their stories…

“My son is eight years old and a talented footballer, and he even had a trial for The Saints this year. His whole world is Southampton Football Club, he plays for his local team then we dash off to watch the Saints home and away. He is a season ticket holder along with his younger brother. They have both been amazing children during lockdown. their mum is a doctor and it's been extremely hard not seeing much of her over the last few months. I can't tell you how excited my boys are about football starting again and to be involved would be wonderful for them.” Luke

“My daughter is a season ticket holder and massive Saints fan. Like many, she has missed out on school and sports and social life. She is a keen promoter of women’s football and has encouraged many girls at her school to participate to the point they had just started training at lunch in the hope of having a team. She is due to go to secondary in September and therefore has missed out on participating and pushing this forward. She is a strong-minded, charitable young lady and I am so proud to be her mum!” Ruby

“I am a key worker working for a bank and have worked since lockdown and cancelled holidays and worked weekends to support our customers. I’ve been a Saints fan as long as I can remember, as was my dad who passed away in 2016. Going to home games was our thing and I still think of him every home game even four years on.” Beverley
