While the English football leagues aren’t due to kick off until late August, Scottish teams are already dusting the shortbread crumbs off their freshly pressed kits and getting their season underway. UFC Fight Night 133: Dos Santos v Ivanov

Sunday 15 July, 3am, BT Sport 2/HD (CH 532/528)
Late on Saturday night, catch what looks to be an enticing, punch-tastic night of mixed martial arts. Two former heavyweight champions go head to head, as Junior dos Santos faces Blagoy Ivanov in the Bulgarian fighter's UFC debut. Sure, they’re impressive, but we could probably take them both on (with one hand) if ever a tense lift trip turned nasty. Probably.
Verizon IndyCar Series: Toronto
Sunday 15 July, 8pm, BT Sport 2/HD (CH 532/528)
The people of Toronto prepare to plug their ears as the screaming, roaring engines of IndyCar hit the streets. Canadian Robert Wickens will be hoping to score his first win at his home circuit, while reigning champion Josef Newgarden looks to get his bid to retain his title back on track.
WTA: BHD Bucharest Open
From Monday 16 July, 12 noon, BT Sport 2/HD (CH 532/528)
Phew, grab your sun cream for this one; it’s going to be a scorcher. The WTA heads to the sun-soaked clay courts of Romania for the fifth edition of the Bucharest Open. After claiming an unprecedented double in winning both the singles and doubles championships in 2017, home favourite Irina-Camelia Begu will hope to overcome a tough field, and keep her hands on both.
2018 MLB All-Star Game

Wednesday 18 July, 12.30am, BT Sport 1/HD (CH 531/527)
Though none (hopefully) are fluorescent, this is a ballgame packed with more stars than a young child’s bedroom ceiling. Watch late on Tuesday, as baseball’s best come together for the symbolic, mid-season match up, and the aforementioned stars from the American and National Leagues face off in Washington’s Nationals Park.
