The Tour de France peloton. Watch live cycling including the Tour on TNT Sports this month.

At this time of year it’s (almost) all about the Tour de France. Some of the events in the lead-up to the big one feature strong line-ups – and they always provide pulsating race action as well as lovely scenery – but 5 July is the date with the big red circle around it on the calendar. And it’s a tale of two supreme Slovenians with contrasting form in the race. While Tadej Pogačar has won the Tour three times, his countryman Primož Roglič has a reputation for crashing out: he’s done so four times, including last year.

Now 35, Roglič could be running out of chances to land the big fish and while he’ll start among the favourites, there’s plenty of tough opposition besides Pogačar, including two-time winner Jonas Vingegaard of Denmark and Belgium’s Remco Evenepoel. And there’s always a chance someone could emerge from the peloton and unexpectedly charge to victory, such as Britain’s Simon Yates who did just that in this year’s Giro D’Italia (another event that Roglič failed to finish).

There’s extensive live coverage of the Tour on TNT Sports this summer, so you can see every lung-busting climb and lightning-fast sprint – plus lots more cycling action.

Thrills aplenty in this mountain biking championship, and we particularly recommend tuning in for the women’s short-track cross-country section – which is where you’ll find the best chance of British glory, with Evie Richards topping the rankings. The 28-year-old Worcestershire rider has two event wins and four podium finishes, and having finished second and third in previous years (as well as runner-up in Olympic distance), she’ll be determined to secure that victory.

Other contenders from the UK are Charlie Aldridge in men’s short-track cross-country and Tahnée Seagrave in women’s downhill. The adrenaline-pumping live action this month comes live from Val Di Sole in the Dolomites, La Thuile in the Italian Alps and Pal Arinsal in Andorra.

Motorsport: MotoGP

MotoGP championship leader Marc Márquez. Watch three live MotoGP races on TNT Sports this month.

After a frankly chaotic British MotoGP at Silverstone, which featured a race-jeopardising oil spill, crashes for various leading contenders and an unlikely winner in Italy’s Marco Bezzecchi, normal service was resumed at the Aragon race with a routine win for Marc Márquez. The Spaniard leads the championship standings as the season heads for the Mugello Circuit in Tuscany, but his brother Álex is still close behind. It looks like we’re going to see a titanic battle between the siblings for the rest of the season, but Álex could really do with at least one race win in Italy, the Netherlands or Germany this month if he’s going to stop big bro getting away from him.

Motorsport: Rallying + Touring

Britain’s Elfyn Evans and co-driver Scott Martin are clinging on to their lead in the World Rally Championship standings after they finished outside the top three in both Portugal and Italy. There’s no doubt about their closest rivals now, because those two rallies were won by Sébastien Ogier and Vincent Landais, and the French pair are swallowing up Evans and Martin’s lead despite having sat out two events earlier in the season. Next up it’s the Acropolis Rally in Greece, where the Brits will need to focus and dig deep to retain their position. Follow all the action on TNT Sports.

In Supercars, Broc Feeney has been making up for his slow start to the season, winning two of the three races at both the Tasmania and Perth Super 440 weekends. The Queenslander has forced himself not just into contention but into the lead in the standings. Can he hold on? Next up, it’s a trip to the Northern Territory.

Motorsport: Formula E Championship

British driver Oliver Rowland builds up speed in the Shanghai ePrix. Watch Formula E action live on TNT Sports this month.

With just five rounds of the Formula E season left – one ePrix in Jakarta, two each in Berlin and London – British driver Oliver Rowland has built an impressive championship lead thanks to four race victories, where no other driver has achieved more than two. He arrives in Indonesia with a whopping 68-point lead – but having finished out of the podium places twice in Shanghai, Rowland will know there’s still work to do to secure the title. Especially with defending champion Pascal Wehrlein finding form… Follow the action as the season heads towards an exciting climax on TNT Sports.

Motorsport: Speedway

At the halfway point of the Speedway Grand Prix season it’s looking good for Bartosz Zmarzlik of Poland, who’s leading the way in the championship table – but Australia’s Brady Kurtz and Jack Holder are well in the mix too, as is Sweden’s Fredrik Lindgren after a strong showing in Manchester. With two of the remaining five races in his home country, Zmarzlik will be hoping fervent home support can carry him over the line.

The first of those races comes on 21 June at the Edward Jancarz Stadium in Gorzów, and you can watch it live on TNT Sports – along with regular fixtures from the British Speedway Premiership on Mondays, where there’s a close battle for the lead between Ipswich, Sheffield and Belle Vue.

Motorsport: Motocross World Championship

Let’s off-road! This is the 69th season of the FIM Motocross World Championship, although the sport is 100 years old, having staged its first official race in Surrey in 1924. And it’s been one of the most eventful, after leading rider Tim Gajser was forced out of contention when he injured his shoulder in Switzerland. Belgium’s Lucas Coenen, who had had an indifferent start to the season, suddenly found his groove and went on a run of seven victories in nine races. Romain Febvre of France is leading the way, but Coenen has him in his sights. Watch the action from the next event, which takes place at Matterley Basin in Hampshire, on TNT Sports.

MMA: UFC

Ilia Topuria in action in the Octagon. Watch his title fight against Charles Oliveira and more UFC live on TNT Sports this month.

There’s a vacancy at lightweight champion in the UFC now that Islam Makhachev has moved up to welterweight, and it’s one that will be filled at UFC 317 when two former champs meet in Las Vegas. Charles Oliveira won the belt at UFC 262 in May 2021, then was stripped of it before his second defence at UFC 274 for missing weight. He lost out to Makhachev when the two competed for the title at UFC 280, so he won’t want another blot on his record. His opponent is Ilia Topuria, who vacated his featherweight championship to take a crack at the lightweight division, and their very different paths to this meeting should make it a fascinating one.

There’s a co-headline bout on the night as Alexandre Pantoja defends his flyweight title against Kai Kara-France. Ahead of that event, you can enjoy a rare early evening start to a UFC night when the promotion is in Baku, Azerbaijan, where a heavyweight match-up between Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree Jr tops the bill. Then it’s on to Nashville in July for more heavyweight action as Derrick Lewis faces Tallison Teixeira in the night’s big fight. TNT Sports, as ever, is your destination for weekend UFC action.

Athletics: Grand Slam Track

After dominating in the Long Hurdles in the first two Grand Slams of this inaugural season, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone switched to the Short Hurdles category in Philadelphia. While she performed respectably (second in the 100m flat, fifth in the 100m hurdles), she lost the overall lead in the Racer of the Year contest to Melissa Jefferson-Wooden (Short Sprints). With Marileidy Paulino (Long Sprints) also edging ahead of McLaughlin-Levrone, the final event of 2025 in Los Angeles is going to be a fascinating battle between the trio.

In the men’s event there’s a big gap between the top two, Kenny Bednarek (Short Sprints) and Alison Dos Santos (Long Hurdles), and the rest, so those two will be fighting it out for the win. GB’s Matthew Hudson-Smith (Long Sprints) is in with a chance of a top three place – he’s fifth but only two points off third as the athletes head to LA. Tune in to TNT Sports on the final weekend of June for a thrilling conclusion to Grand Slam Track.

Football: NWSL

England defender Jess Carter in action for Gotham against Washington Spirit. Watch live NWSL matches on TNT Sports this month.

Gotham FC finished third last season to qualify for the first ever CONCACAF Champions Cup, and went on to defy the odds and claim the trophy with a 1-0 over Tigres in May – a terrific achievement. The signing of Spain international Esther González from Real Madrid has proved a smart one: not only did she score the winner in the Champions Cup final, she’s also firmly among the top scorers in the NWSL this season. The problem? Gotham’s form isn’t keeping up with hers and at the time of writing, they’re just about in the play-off places on goal difference. The defence, led by England’s Jess Carter, is still strong, but they need to start converting chances and getting wins if they’re going to reap more success.

Check out Gotham against Bay FC this month on TNT Sports, when you can also see league leaders Kansas City Current take on Angel City, where former Man Utd captain Katie Zelem and Scotland defender Claire Emslie now play.

But there are teams from all around England in action, including the Royal National College for the Blind and two teams from Chelsea.

Cricket: Internationals

Bangladesh v Sri Lanka in a Test match. Watch international cricket on TNT Sports this month.

After losing their World Test Championship crown to South Africa, Australia will be straight back on the horse – they’re heading to the Caribbean for a three-match series against West Indies. It starts at Barbados’s Kensington Oval, continues in Grenada and concludes with a day-night game in Jamaica, with T20s to follow. Also in Barbados, the West Indies women’s team faces South Africa in three T20 matches, following on from the ODI series.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka host Bangladesh for an all-format tour: it begins with two Tests, first in Galle – often hailed as the world’s most picturesque cricket venue – and then in Colombo. Bangladesh have held full ICC membership since 2000 but have still won just 23 Test matches, so they’ll see this tour as an opportunity to boost those numbers. With the dates of the Colombo and Barbados Tests coinciding but nine time zones apart, you can spend five straight days watching cricket from 5.30am till 11pm if that’s your thing.

Basketball: NBA Finals

It’s been a gripping tussle between the Pacers and the Thunder in the NBA finals, and Indiana certainly seem unbothered by their underdog status – especially in Game 3 when they turned around a five-point fourth-quarter deficit to win 116-107, with Tyrese Haliburton the star man. Whether the series is done in six games or goes to a seventh, you’ll be able to see the decider live on TNT Sports.

Kia Nurse of the Chicago Sky in action. Watch WNBA basketball live on TNT Sports this month.

It wasn’t the easiest of starts to the season for the Chicago Sky. It took the 2021 champions five attempts to win a game, a run that began with a 93-58 pasting from Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever. Their form has picked up since, though, with two wins over Dallas in which Arike Ogunbowale and Courtney Vandersloot put up serious numbers. Find out if they can maintain their progress and get closer to the play-off positions this month on TNT Sports as they host the Mercury and then travel to Los Angeles.

Australian Rules Football: AFL Men’s

Collingwood Magpies’ Nick Daicos in action. Watch live AFL action on TNT Sports this month.

Since losing in the opening round of the season to GWS, Collingwood have been a model of consistency as they built a lead at the top of the AFL ladder, with their defensive game particularly strong – they’ve conceded the fewest points in the AFL this season by a distance. Jamie Elliott and Brody Mihocek have been deadly when kicking at goal, and there have been some huge winning margins, including 52 points against Brisbane – who had been on a 10-game winning run – and 91 points over Port Adelaide. This month you can see the Magpies live against basement club West Coast Eagles, where they’re likely to add another convincing win to their record, along with lots more AFL coverage on TNT Sports.

Pool: Ultimate Pool Pairs Cup

It’s the fifth staging of the Pairs Cup and every Monday, live on TNT Sports from Newcastle-under-Lyme, you can watch four pairs compete in fast-paced 20-minute matches in a race to four, with a shoot-out if required to separate tied teams. Holders Callum Singleton and Josh Kane lost out to the father-and-son duo of Tom Jones Sr and Jr in Week 1 – so anything can happen. Former winners Karl Sutton and Shaun Chipperfield are also involved in this elite competition, and there are 16 groups, which are whittled down to four ahead of the semi-finals and final.

Group 4
Monday 23 June, 6pm, TNT Sports 2 HD (CH 522)

Group 5
Monday 30 June, 6pm, TNT Sports 1 HD (CH 521)

Group 6
Monday 7 July, 6pm, TNT Sports
