All the Premier League action on TNT Sports this September and October.

The Merseyside derby is always a special occasion – witness the incredible scenes in the thrilling 2-2 draw at Goodison last term – and the upcoming clash between red and blue promises to be a real cracker. Everton have already found form this season and will be delighted if they can take something from the home of the champions, while Liverpool got their title defence off to an excellent start and will be determined to maintain their have begun as they mean to go on. With £130 million striker Alexander Isak poised to make his home Premier League debut, it’s not to be missed.

Up next, there’s an intriguing meeting between Brentford and Man Utd. The Bees have been unpredictable under new boss Keith Andrews but are capable of beating anyone, while United have shown signs of improvement but haven’t yet got the results to prove it. Then promoted Leeds host Spurs in another match-up that’s hard to predict. If this season has told us anything so far, it’s that anyone can beat anyone, and honestly, we’re here for it. Football: UEFA Champions League

Someone explained to us how exactly England has an unprecedented six clubs in this season’s Champions League, but then they said the word “coefficient” three times while stroking their beard and we have to admit we zoned out. It doesn’t matter why they’re there: just know that Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Newcastle and Chelsea earned a place via their Premier League places, joined by Europa League winners Tottenham. And what a slate of matches we’re starting with, as Chelsea visit German champions Bayern, Newcastle host the mighty Barcelona and City take on Serie A winners Napoli. You know it’s a big week when Liverpool’s home tie against Atlético Madrid is only about the fifth most glamorous – and it’s still sure to be a cracking game.

Spurs travel to Champions League debutants Bodø/Glimt, who they saw off in the Europa semis last year. Other clubs making their first appearances include Pafos of Cyprus, Kairat of Kazakhstan – who beat Celtic in qualifying – and Union Saint-Gilloise: the Belgian club, who share an owner with Brighton, host Newcastle on Matchday 2. We’re literally rubbing our hands at the prospect of all these tremendous matches in prospect, and you can enjoy extensive live action on TNT Sports throughout the season.

Football: UEFA Europa League

Rangers and Celtic had memorable European campaigns in 2024/25, both progressing from the league stage: Celtic made it to the Champions League knockout play-offs, while Rangers went to the Europa League quarter-finals. That experience should stand them in good stead for the coming Europa challenge. Celtic start with a trip to Belgrade to face Red Star before hosting Portugal’s Braga, while Rangers have a home tie with Genk and then travel to Austria to meet Sturm Graz.

Aston Villa also had a great Champions League run, beaten in the quarter-finals by eventual champions PSG, and in Unai Emery they have a coach who’s won this competition four times. Of course, Nottingham Forest now have the manager who won it last season in Ange Postecoglou, which should give them a lift as they head into their first European competition since 1995/96. All four British clubs involved will think they have a chance at winning this trophy and with big names like Porto, Real Betis and Roma also in the draw, there are bound to be plenty of high-quality matches.

Football: UEFA Conference League

All the UEFA Conference League action on TNT Sports this September and October.

After some complex legal business to do with ownership, FA Cup winners Crystal Palace find themselves in the Conference League, drawn to face opponents from the far-flung likes of Cyprus, Finland and, er, Ireland in the 36-team league stage. First up, though, it’s a trip to Lublin in Poland where the Eagles will face Dynamo Kyiv, winners of last season’s Ukrainian title – a heroic achievement and no mistake. Aberdeen, who produced an underdog Scottish Cup win of their own by overcoming Celtic on penalties, also face Ukrainian opposition when they host Shakhtar Donetsk at Pittodrie. Considering Shakhtar are regular Champions League participants (including last season), the Dons could hardly have tougher opponents.

Football: Serie A

Despite drawing an astonishing 13 of their first 20 matches, Juventus rallied in the second half of last season to secure fourth place and a Champion League spot – and they went straight to the top of Serie A this year with two convincing wins ahead of the international break. They were joined on six points by champions Napoli, and other teams who started well include Udinese, Roma and promoted Cremonese, where Premier League legend Jamie Vardy has signed on for a career swansong.

So who can maintain that early form and forge ahead in the race for the scudetto? Napoli feature twice in a week, at home to Pisa and then away to AC Milan, and you can see Juve’s home game against the rossoneri on 5 October, the same day as Roma visit Florence. Once again, TNT Sports has live action from every round of Serie A fixtures this season, so don’t miss it.

Football: NWSL

What’s that in the distance? It’s Kansas City Current, disappearing over the horizon having built a huge lead at the top of the US National Women’s Soccer League – so it’s all about the fight for play-off places behind them, primarily second place (which comes with CONCACAF Champions Cup qualification . Defending champs Orlando Pride are in the mix, as are Portland Thorns, San Diego Wave and Washington Spirit, and there are some crunch matches coming up for all four with just a handful of matches left in the season.

The Spirit, part of the same multi-club ownership group as Lyon and London City Lionesses, are in the driving seat for second, although a recent run of draws will worry coach Adrián González. San Diego, meanwhile, need to bounce back from shock home defeats to Houston and Louisville but with France international winger Delphine Cascarino in good form, they could put the pressure on with wins against their rivals.

Rugby Union: PREM Rugby

All the PREM rugby action on TNT Sports this September and October.

New season, new look. Premiership Rugby has been rebranded PREM Rugby for 2025/26 – reflecting the name by which many fans referred to it – and one of the teams has a new identity too, after the former Newcastle Falcons were brought into Red Bull’s global group of sports clubs. Last season was all about Bath, who resurrected their 90s glory years as they celebrated a thrilling 23-21 victory over Leicester in the grand final.

But given that there have been six different champions in as many years, this remains a highly unpredictable and hugely competitive league in which anything can happen, perhaps even more so now that recent wooden-spoon merchants Newcastle have Red Bull behind them. It all begins at the Salford Community Stadium on 25 September when Sale host Gloucester, and there’s extensive live coverage of every round of fixtures on TNT Sports.

Rugby Union: PREM Rugby Cup

Bath claimed this cup for the first time in 2024/25, part of the club’s excellent season that also brought them the Premiership title and the European Challenge Cup. This season it’s back to being a top-tier-only competition, with two pools of five teams kicking off just ahead of the league season. TNT Sports is at Kingsholm on 20 September to show all the action live as Gloucester, winners in 2023/24, host Bristol Bears.

Motorsport: MotoGP

All the MotoGP action on TNT Sports this September and October.

Marc Márquez could have secured the 2025 title in Catalunya but his brother Álex nipped ahead of him to claim his second win of the season and make his sibling wait to be crowned champion. And when Marc crashed out of the sprint race in San Marino, his rivals scented an opportunity. But the championship leader bounced back to win the GP ahead of Marco Bezzecchi, taking a more than healthy 182-point lead into the final half-dozen races. There are still plenty of points up for grabs, though, and anything can happen in the world of high-octane bike racing. Follow the 2025 season all the way to its conclusion, live on TNT Sports.

Motorsport: Speedway

Leicester Lions have already won this season’s Knockout Cup and could be on for a British speedway double if they can get past Sheffield Tigers in the semi-final. Considering they’ve never won the national title before, and only ascended to the top tier in 2023, this would be a huge result. Ipswich Witches, who knocked out defending champions Belle Vue Aces, await the winners of the second semi in the final.

After the Premiership concludes, fans can enjoy the Speedway of Nations, the international event that takes place for the seventh time this year. The MotorArena Toruń in Poland is the venue, and Great Britain have an excellent record in this event having won two of the past three titles.

Motorsport: Superbikes

The World Superbike Championship was close for a while there, as Turkey’s Toprak Razgatlıoğlu and Italy’s Nicolò Bulega shared most of the race wins between them, creating a fascinating battle. But then Razgatlıoğlu took charge. He hasn’t been off the top of the podium for the past four rounds – Emilia-Romagna, Britain, Hungary and France – and while Bulega isn’t out of it yet, he’s got it all to do. Watch TNT Sports to find out if he can keep the championship alive in Spain and Portugal.

In British Superbikes it was 2022 winner Bradley Ray, returning after two seasons in the World Superbike Championship, who led the way after four rounds with nine wins in 11 races. But defending champ Kyle Ryde has steadily reeled him in, eating into that lead until three wins in the four Donington Park races took him into first place. It’s seriously tight – so who will grab vital points at Assen and Oulton Park?

MMA: UFC

It’s not taken long for Alex Pereira to get a chance to reclaim the UFC light heavyweight title: at UFC 320 on 5 October, he’ll face Magomed Ankalaev, who took it from him at UFC 313 in March. That fight went the distance and was closely contested, but Ankalaev was awarded the victory by all three judges. Pereira, who won the belt at UFC 295 in only his second bout at light heavyweight, and defended it three times, will be going all-out to get it back. Bantamweight champ Merab Dvalishvili will also be defending his title against Cory Sandhagen in Vegas.

Ahead of that event, the UFC is in Perth for another light heavyweight headline bout, this one between New Zealand’s Carlos Ulberg and former champ Dominick Reyes of the US. Then it’s on to Rio, the spiritual home of MMA, where home favourite Charles Oliveira faces Rafael Fiziev in a lightweight clash.

That means this year’s competition, held in the United Arab Emirates, is a T20. It’s a trophy that’s only ever been won by India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, but both Bangladesh and Afghanistan have made themselves into genuine contenders in recent times, making this a hugely competitive tournament. Despite the huge variety of sports on show at the Olympic Games, the athletics is always the main focus – so this event is the pure, concentrated goodness, which is especially exciting for Japanese fans who were unable to attend the 2020 Olympics in person owing to Covid restrictions. More than 2,200 athletes are in Tokyo striving to go faster, higher, further, including a 64-strong Great Britain and Northern Ireland team that features some of the world’s biggest names in track and field. On what should be a thrilling final weekend of action, live on TNT Sports, you can see the decathlon, the men’s and women’s 800m (featuring Keely Hodgkinson) and the men’s and women’s 4x100m and 4,400m relays, often a rich source of British medals.

Tennis: Laver Cup

Team Europe takes on the rest of the world in this three-day men’s indoor tournament, with six players on each side. The Europeans have won five of its seven iterations but a World team heavy on US stars, including Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe, will like their chances in the 2025 tournament which is in San Francisco. Superstar and newly crowned US Open champ Carlos Alcaraz leads the European team, backed up by the likes of Alexander Zverev and Holger Rune (and the chalk-and-cheese captaincy duo of Yannick Noah and Tim Henman) in what’s likely to be a high-quality tournament that tennis fans won’t mind staying up late for. Australian Rules Football: AFL Men

All the AFL Men action on TNT Sports this September and October.

Adelaide Crows finished top of the AFL ladder with an impressive 18 wins from 23 games, while Collingwood Magpies lost five of their last seven to miss out on a top-two spot. But you’ve got to do it when it counts. The Crows were convincingly outplayed by the Magpies in the qualifying final at the Adelaide Oval and then, when they got a second chance to progress via a semi-final, went down by 34 points to Hawthorn Hawks in a real anti-climax to their season. But the Hawks are through to face Geelong Cats in the preliminary final, while the Magpies will take on Brisbane Lions.

Collingwood are currently level with Carlton and Essedon for most total AFL and VFL premierships with 16 apiece, so victory in the Grand Final on 27 September would give them the sole record – motivation if ever it were needed. Watch it all live on TNT Sports.

Australian Rules Football: AFL Women

After four rounds, no less than four teams had made perfect starts to the AFLW season: North Melbourne, Melbourne, Sydney and Hawthorn were all locked together on 16 points. Not all perfect records were created equal, though. While Hawthorn’s wins were low-scoring affairs, Sydney bagged their highest ever points total of 15.13 (103) against Gold Coast as well as their biggest ever winning margin, while Melbourne inflicted St Kilda’s worst ever defeat with a 74-point victory.

But North Melbourne lead the way: having scored their biggest ever win with a 72-point defeat of Port Adelaide, just a week later the Kangaroos broke the all-time AFLW scoring record with the entire competition’s biggest win, putting 18.6 (114) on the scoreboard against a hapless Fremantle. The defending premiers are going to take some stopping this season. Keep up to date with the action on TNT Sports.

Snooker

It was 2016 when the snooker authorities came up with the bright idea of adding English and Northern Irish Opens to the existing Welsh and Scottish tournaments to create a Home Nations Series. This quartet has been thriving ever since, attracting top talent with £100,000 as the prize for each of the four events. Australia’s Neil Robertson claimed the English Open title last year, and started this year’s competition as No1 seed. It’s a tournament of quickfire games – even the final is just the best of 11 frames – so tune in for some gripping shoot-outs from the Brentwood Centre. Up next is the Xi’an Grand Prix in central China, where Kyren Wilson is the holder.

Baseball: Major League Baseball

All the Major League Baseball action on TNT Sports this September and October.

With the play-offs looming, Milwaukee have arrived in a strong position almost by stealth: they’re the most unspectacular scorers in MLB, with a healthy total of runs but relatively few home runs among the leading contenders. In a classic Midwestern way, the Brewers’ batting  line-up is succeeding through old-fashioned hard work. That’s true of their pitchers, too, who are among the best in the league at preventing home runs.

With just a handful of games to go, they’re among the favourites for the World Series, and you can see them on the road against the Cardinals and Padres this month (if you don’t mind a late night or two). There’s lots more action from this crucial stage of the season throughout September on TNT Sports, and the play-offs get under way at the end of the month.
