There’s trouble in paradise for Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn in this comedy adventure

A mother-daughter holiday goes wild in this laugh-out-loud movie, new on Sky Cinema this week

Snatched, available from Friday 9 March in Sky Cinema on demand. Cert 15. Also available in HD

Emily (Trainwreck’s Amy Schumer) has planned the trip of a lifetime to South America with her boyfriend. But before she can say “selfie”, she gets fired from her job and dumped by said other half.

Faced with that familiar horror of a pre-booked trip with no cancellation policy, she convinces her mother (Goldie Hawn, The First Wives Club) to tag along and “put the fun in non-refundable.” As you’ve already guessed, things don’t quite go according to plan. Not a chance.

Hawn makes her first movie appearance in 15 years (yes – 15!) after 2002’s The Banger Sisters. Joining in the shenanigans are adventurers Joan Cusack (School of Rock), Wanda Sykes (Broad City) and Christopher Meloni (Wet Hot American Summer).

It’s the perfect film to giggle over on Mother’s Day. And you can rest assured that whatever happens on your next holiday, it’s bound to be a lot, lot less terrifying (and, ahem, messy?) than Snatched.
