British director Edgar Wright has reinvented the heist movie by focusing on a young getaway driver, Baby (Ansel Elgort, The Fault In Our Stars), who’s pressed into service by a criminal gang. But when he falls in love with a young waitress (Lily James, Cinderella), he decides to escape to find a better way of life.
 

With supporting stars like Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Jon Bernthal (The Punisher) and Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained) rounding out the cast, as well as easily the best soundtrack of the year, it’s adrenalin-fuelled and incredibly exciting. Not that we’d expect anything else from Edgar Wright (pictured with Elgort at the top of the page). After all, his back catalogue includes modern classics like Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz, making him one of the most successful directors to come out of the UK in decades.
