So what better way to revel in your shiny future self-ness than with a film from Sky Cinema library of absolute crackers? Packed with more treats than Mary Berry’s kitchen table at elevenses, there’s an abundance of options to choose from.

All you need to do is grab the popcorn, kick off your slippers, pet the dog and tune in to one of the below.

The First Purge

The First Purge, available on Sky Cinema on demand from Saturday 2 March. Cert 15. Also available in HD

You shrieked at The Purge. You quivered at The Purge: Anarchy. You hid behind a cushion as The Purge: Election Year went down. And now, prepare to peek through your fingers at this nerve-jangling prequel. Documenting the origins of the “Purge” (where any crime is legal across the United States for 12, terrifying hours), it’s an interesting change of direction for the franchise, with Spider-Man: Homecoming’s Marisa Tomei starring as one of the brains behind the horrifying initiative.

Big Fish & Begonia

Big Fish & Begonia, available on Sky Cinema on demand from Sunday 3 March. Cert PG. Also available in HD

If you’re a fan of animated epics like Spirited Away and The Tale Of Princess Kaguya, you’ll love this fantastical tale about a magical sea creature that falls in love with a human boy. Packed with stunning visuals and an emotionally gripping story, it’s the perfect watch for a quiet night in.

Fat Camp

Fat Camp, available on Sky Cinema on demand from Monday 4 March. Also available in HD

Fancy a side-splitting coming-of-age comedy? Then look no further. After being kicked out of his house, Hutch (Saturday Night Live’s Chris Redd) is sent to work at his uncle’s fat camp, where a group of teens teach him a thing or two about growing up.

Kissing Candice

Kissing Candice, available on Sky Cinema on demand from Tuesday 5 March. Cert 15. Also available in HD

A teenage girl’s vision of her dream boy becomes a reality in this thrilling crime drama from writer/director Aoife McArdle. Set in a sleepy seaside town in Ireland, Ann Skelly (Death And Nightingales) steals the show as the titular Candice, who finds herself entangled in both her own imagination and the shady dealings of a local gang. Sumptuous cinematography, a sharp, sparse script and stunning performances make this cracking piece of independent Irish cinema a definite one to watch.

Like A Cat On A Highway

Like A Cat On A Highway, available on Sky Cinema on demand from Wednesday 6 March. Also available in HD

Different cultures collide in this hilarious Italian comedy. When the daughter of a rich businessman falls for the son of a poor family living in a tower block, the businessman must come to terms with both his daughter’s love and the interesting characters that come attached to it. Classic, class-based comedy from abroad.
