Brighton go into their home game with Liverpool with what some might call a perfect record: played 30, won 10, drawn 10, lost 10. To say you don’t know what to expect from this team is an understatement. They have players with exuberant skills who can turn a match in a moment, like Kaoru Mitoma, Yankuba Minteh and Diego Gómez, but as those figures indicate, their talent flickers sporadically. They could turn on the style against the reigning champions and deliver a serious blow to the Reds’ Champions League qualification hopes. Or they could put in a weak and wan display that plays into their opponents’ hands.
And we could say the same about the Premier League’s other south coast side, who followed an eight-match unbeaten run at the start of the season with an 11-game winless stretch, and are now unbeaten again since 3 January when they lost to Arsenal. Will the top-of-the-table Gunners put an end to this record if it’s still intact on 11 April? Or could Bournemouth throw a spanner in the works of their title charge? It’s going to be fascinating. These are two games you don’t want to miss on TNT Sports.

Premier League clubs dominated this season’s league phase but after a round of 16 that started badly for the English teams and got worse, how many of them will make it to the quarter-finals? You may know the answer by the time you read this, but there’s no doubt that the most impressive Champions League performers right now are the likes of Bayern (a magnificent 6-1 win away at Atalanta without star striker Harry Kane) and Real Madrid (who delivered a 3-0 walloping to Manchester City in their first leg and saw out the tie in imperious style).
We still wouldn’t bet against an English team making the final – Arsenal seem the most likely – but the biggest teams from Spain, France and Germany have definitely re-entered the chat. (Although not Italy.) Don’t miss the thrilling Champions League action on TNT Sports.

Differing fortunes for the two English sides in the last 16 of this season’s Europa League. Across the three competitions, Aston Villa were the only English team to win their last-16 first leg, with an Ollie Watkins goal enough to give them a victory in Lille and put them in a great position ahead of the return match at Villa Park. The French side are no pushovers, though – and they certainly won’t be drained by an exhausting long-haul journey, seeing as Birmingham is closer than Ligue 1 rivals like Marseille, Lyon and Rennes.
Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, struggled to break down Midtjylland and, despite having more possession and 21 shots, they were undone by Cho Gue-sung’s late header. That sets up a tricky trip to Denmark and without much sign of a new manager bounce under Vítor Pereira, Forest’s place is in serious jeopardy. See both sides in second-leg action as well as plenty more Europa League games on TNT Sports this month.

A goalless draw at home against AEK Larnaca might not seem like a great result, but that first-leg blank was certainly better than the 1-0 defeat Crystal Palace suffered against the Cypriot side at Selhurst Park during the league phase. The tie is still alive, and although Palace’s form hasn’t been the best recently, they’ve got the wherewithal to go to Larnaca and get a result. All it takes is one moment – one defence-splitting Adam Wharton pass or one Ismaïla Sarr thunderbolt – plus some stalwart defending and they could be in the quarter-finals. Two consecutive Palace seasons with a trophy? Don’t rule it out.

Football: FA Cup Quarter-finals
It’s hard to know what you want as a team like Port Vale, who have reached the FA Cup quarter-finals for the first time in 62 years. Would the League One club prefer a trip to a Premier League stadium, which would be an amazing opportunity for the players and staff as well as a brilliant day out for the fans? Or would they rather welcome a top-flight side to their home ground, in the hope that unfamiliar surroundings and a passionate crowd would unsettle the visitors and give the underdogs a greater chance of a famous victory? Well, the draw gave Vale the former, and they’ll run out at Stamford Bridge on 4 April with the hope of pulling off yet another upset in this season of Cup giant-killings that include their win over Sunderland, Macclesfield’s victory against Crystal Palace and Mansfield knocking out Burnley.
Southampton, who knocked out top-flight Fulham in the previous round, might fancy their chances at home against Arsenal, perhaps banking on the Gunners being distracted by their Premier League and Champions League efforts. Although if Mikel Arteta rotates by bringing in 16-year-old sensation Max Dowman again, the Saints had better watch out. Watch these fascinating quarter-finals, as well as two all-Prem ties, over Easter weekend on TNT Sports.

)
Since their formation in 1987, Arsenal have reached the Women’s FA Cup semi-finals an astonishing 25 times, winning the trophy on a record 14 occasions. However, their last appearance in the final four was three seasons ago – their longest ever drought in this competition. Renée Slegers’s side have a home quarter-final against Brighton as they aim to end that run. The other all-WSL tie takes Tottenham Hotspur to Chelsea to face the daunting task of knocking out the holders.
There was satisfaction for Liverpool in the previous round of the FA Cup as they saw off their city rivals Everton, and their reward is a trip to south-east London for a quarter-final against Charlton Athletic, who have dominated WSL2 this year and look certain to join their cup opponents in next year’s top flight. Another team near the top of the WSL2, Birmingham, welcome Manchester City to St Andrew’s. As with the men’s competition, all four ties are live on TNT Sports over Easter weekend.

Football: Serie A
Fiorentina have had a solid run of European qualification recently, competing in four consecutive UEFA Conference Leagues thanks to consistent domestic performance. However, that has come to an end in 2025/26. It’s been a turbulent season during which they lost coach Raffaele Palladino, appointed and sacked coach Stefano Pioli, and appointed Paolo Vanoli, as well as spending several weeks rock bottom of Serie A. As well as featuring Italy striker Moise Kean they’ve had an influx of talent from the Premier League, including ex-Brighton defender Tariq Lamptey plus Jack Harrison and Manor Solomon on loan from Leeds and Spurs respectively, but the team hasn’t clicked.
The past few weeks have seen a mini-revival – two wins and two draws in five games – which has lifted them above the relegation zone, but they’re certainly not out of danger. So they last thing they need is a trip to Inter, who are well clear at the top of the table. You can see the game live on TNT Sport on 22 March, the night after Juventus’s game at home to Sassuolo as the bianconeri attempt to secure Champions League qualification.

Central Coast Mariners and the Melbourne teams have dominated this competition in recent years. This season, though, it’s a different story. Newcastle Jets, who won their only title way back in 2008, are battling with new-ish boys Auckland for top spot, defying history and predictions to keep the perennial big hitters at bay – in fact, Melbourne City look like missing out on the finals altogether. Auckland’s win in Newcastle on 14 March, thanks to two goals from English forward Sam Cosgrove, narrowed the gap at the top to just a point, setting up a pulsating end to the season. Both the leading contenders are live on TNT Sports multiple times in the coming month so you can follow every twist and turn of the race.

Football: Women’s A-League
Adelaide United aren’t among the most successful teams in this league’s history – they’d barely broken into the top half before 2022 – but after claiming their first ever win in the finals last season, this could be their best campaign to date. With 16 of 20 games played, they’re in second place and although they’re not exactly free-scoring, their Anglo-Irish strike pair of Fiona Worts and Erin Healy have grabbed goals when it mattered, and they’ve lost just once since Christmas to put the team on course for their highest ever finish. If they can get a result at leaders Melbourne City, that would set them up for a solid run-in: their remaining games against Canberra, Newcastle and Wellington are all live on TNT Sports this month, among lots more Women’s A-League action.

Football: US National Women’s Soccer League
It’s an expansion season for the NWSL, which has added two new teams in the form of Boston Legacy and Denver Summit. Former Man City boss Nick Cushing has taken charge of Denver, who have a squad full of mainly young US and Canadian talents, although the most recognisable names for British fans are ex-Leicester striker Tash Flint and France’s former Arsenal goalkeeper Pauline Peyraud-Magnin. Their first match live on TNT Sports is a tough assignment away to Gotham, who won their second championship in three years last season, and have added serial winner Guro Reiten – the Norwegian winger who has a WSL winner’s medal for every one of the six seasons she spent at Chelsea – to their roster.
It doesn’t get any easier for the Summit, as they then host Trinity Rodman’s Washington Spirit – a team aiming to go one better than their runners-up spot in 2024 and 2025. Keep up with the NWSL throughout the season on TNT Sports.

With just a solitary PREM defeat all season, Northampton climbed to the summit of the table before the Six Nations break and as the final stages of the season get under way, George Furbank and his team will be laser-focused on reclaiming the title they won in 2024. These are heady days for the Saints following that domestic success and their European Champions Cup final appearance last season, and more silverware would put the seal on that. They visit Saracens on 28 March for a game that’s live on TNT Sports.
At the other end of the PREM table, coach Alan Dickens paid the price for Newcastle’s failure to get off the bottom – can his replacement, former assistant Stephen Jones, find a way to galvanise the players? Check them out against Exeter in the Friday evening game on 27 March.

Rugby Union: Premiership Women’s Rugby
This month brings the final two rounds of fixtures before the Premiership pauses for the Women’s Six Nations, and Gloucester-Hartpury will be keen to take the opportunity – with rivals Saracens on a bye week – to go clear at the top of the table ahead of the break with a win at Loughborough. It’s pretty tight from third down to eighth, but the Lightning have struggled to find form in recent weeks and find themselves at the bottom of that pack. Even when scoring four tries at Sale to claim a bonus point, they couldn’t prevent their hosts prevailing 31-29.
Taking on Gloucester is always a tough challenge but one they’ll be up for, especially at home – and the following week, Loughborough have a better chance of a result as they visit the Trailfinders. The London side are having a good season but, well, they aren’t the all-conquering three-in-a-row champions. See both games live on TNT Sports.

Going into race two of the 2026 season, the drivers’ championship standings have an odd look: Marco Bezzecchi won the sole MotoGP so far, in Thailand, but he’s currently sitting in second place behind Pedro Acosta by virtue of the latter’s performance in the sprint race, from which Bezzecchi crashed out. Perfectly possible, but still a bit odd. Another oddity is the absence of the name Márquez from the leading positions: Marc was forced to retire from the Thai GP after 20 laps, just one lap before his brother Álex suffered an accident. Last year’s winner and runner-up are behind almost before they’ve started. But with 21 races to go, there’s plenty of time to recover. Enjoy three races – from Brazil, the US and Qatar – live this month on TNT Sports.

Motorsport: World Superbike Championship
There’s no doubt about the firm favourite for this year’s World Superbikes after just one race meeting. Ducati’s Nicolò Bulega qualified on pole for both races in Australia and led from the front to claim two wins (and also set the fastest lap along the way, times two). After he finished runner-up last season to Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, who’s now moved on to MotoGP, the title is surely Bulega’s to lose. Who might challenge him at the Algarve International Circuit? His countrymen Axel Bassani and Yari Montella were his closest rivals in the last round, with Britain’s Tarran Mackenzie and Sam and Alex Lowes some way off the pace. There’s plenty of racing still to come in 2026, though.

Motorsport: Rallying + Touring
Britain’s Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin followed up their second place in Monaco with a win in Sweden to lead the championship after two events. The challenge now is to stay up there and finally take that trophy at the end of the season after they were runners-up in 2025 for the fifth time. With a relatively inexperienced field of competitors, after Kalle Rovanperä left the WRC (and defending driver’s champ Sébastien Ogier participating in only 10 of the 14 rallies in 2026), this could be their best chance of glory. The teams are in Croatia this month for the first Tarmac-surface event of the year.
In Supercars, Brodie Kostecki of the Dick Johnson Racing team dominated in Melbourne, winning three of the four races and coming second in the other to leapfrog the early leaders and plant his flag in first place. The action shifts to New Zealand this month with three races at the Taupō International Motorsport Park. Keep up with all the fast-paced rallying and touring action on TNT Sports.

The UFC’s Fight Night on 21 March takes place at The O2 in London, where Manchester fighter Lerone Murphy will feature in the headline bout against Movsar Evloev. Both are ranked in the UFC’s featherweight top three, so you can expect a top-class, fiercely fought contest, with the winner likely to get a shot at champion Alexander Volkanovski before too long. Other British fighters on the card include another featherweight, Luke Riley, who takes on Michael Aswell Jr, and welterweight Michael Page, who faces Sam Patterson, while Christian Leroy Duncan meets Roman Dolidze in a middleweight clash.
After another two events in Seattle and Las Vegas, UFC 327 takes place in Miami, where Jiří Procházka and Carlos Ulberg will fight for the light heavyweight title recently vacated by Alex Pereira. Procházka won the belt in 2022 but had to relinquish it because of injury, and he subsequently failed in two attempts to get it back from Pereira, so he’ll be super-motivated for this fight. New Zealand’s Ulberg was impressive in knocking out Dominick Reyes in Perth last September, and he’ll be a tough opponent for the Czech fighter. Don’t miss it, live on TNT Sports.

The double-header T20 series featuring New Zealand and South Africa’s men’s and women’s teams continues on TNT Sports this month. The women’s teams, meanwhile, are ramping up preparations for this summer’s T20 World Cup in England. New Zealand will be defending their title, while South Africa are gradually getting closer to winning – semi-finalists in 2020, runners-up in 2023 and 2024 – so you can bet on a high-quality competition. With their World Series win over Toronto Blue Jays last October, the LA Dodgers statistically moved past the New York Yankees to become the number one team of the past 25 years – and they’re the favourites to claim the championship again in 2026, achieving what’s known in the US as a “three-peat” (we’ll stick with “hat-trick”). The two New York teams and the Seattle Mariners look best placed to disrupt that, while the Blue Jays can’t be counted out after taking the 2025 World Series to the wire.
The action begins on 26 March and TNT Sports has plenty of games every week throughout the season. One note: if you were looking forward to the London Series games, which had been due to return after a year off in 2025, they’ve unfortunately been called off owing to scheduling conflicts.

Winter Sports
Got a craving for sporting action on the snow and ice after the recent Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics? We’re in the final part of the snowsports season now, but there’s still plenty of action to follow this month, with biathlon, Alpine skiing and ski jumping from Norway, cross-country skiing from the US and freestyle skiing from France. And if, like us, you got seriously invested in curling during the Olympics, GB’s female curlers (representing Scotland this time) have a shot at redemption after their disappointment in Italy with the World Championships taking place in Calgary, Canada. Can they make the final on 22 March? The men’s tournament follows straight on from it, also live on TNT Sports.

Australian Rules Football: AFL Men
)
There are a few rule changes in the AFL this season, including a switch from the traditional bounce-up start to a more straightforward throw (apparently learning the skill of the bounce was a distraction to officials’ development), but the most significant one is the addition of an extra wildcard round in the finals – which means that 10 of the 18 teams will qualify at the end of the regular season. That could benefit teams like Western Bulldogs and Sydney, who finished just outside the play-off places in 2025, and should keep more clubs involved in meaningful games for a longer period. The Bulldogs got off to a great start with an impressive win over reigning premiers Brisbane. But there’s plenty more footy to be played, and you can see the action on TNT Sports.

Golf: LIV Golf
The all-Australian Ripper GC team won the first two events of the 2026 LIV Golf League, in Riyadh and Adelaide, with Ripper’s Elvis Smylie claiming the individual victory in Saudi. It was a different story in Hong Kong, where Jon Rahm put in a superb performance to win by three strokes from Thomas Detry – although Detry’s 4Aces GC, captained by Dustin Johnson, took the team prize in Fanling. Next up, it’s LIV’s first ever event in Africa at the Steyn City club in Johannesburg, where Louis Oosthuizen’s all-South African team Southern Guards GC will no doubt be keen to succeed.

Snooker: World Open
John Higgins first won this event in 1994, aged just 19, when it was known as the Grand Prix and held in the Assembly Rooms in Derby. It’s had various names and been staged at numerous venues in England, Scotland and China since then, but these days the World Open takes place at the Yushan Centre in north-east China – and that’s where Higgins won it for the fifth time, aged 49, in 2025. Along with fellow mid-1970s babies Mark Williams and Ronnie O’Sullivan, the Scotsman is demonstrating incredible longevity at the top of the sport, and he’ll be back in Yushan to defend his title, seeded first in the draw. Keep up with the action on TNT Sports this month.

With three races of the SailGP season gone, Team GBR are top of the table having displayed remarkable consistency: they won the first event in Perth and followed that up with second place in Auckland and Sydney. Now the action shifts to the Atlantic Ocean with a race off Rio de Janeiro, ahead of SailGPs in Bermuda, New York and Halifax. Driver Dylan Fletcher, strategist Hannah Mills and the rest of the British team have given themselves a great platform for success but they’re facing stiff competition from Australia, the US and on home waters, the Brazil team led by driver Martine Grael.
