By Virgin TV Edit

Ready to start your weekend with a bang? Matchroom Fight Camp is back for a third instalment – and you don’t have to miss a moment live on Sky Sports.

The latest event from promoter Eddie Hearn is set to be headlined by middleweights Jason Welborn and Felix Cash, with a stacked undercard backing them up. Want to know more about the action? Then read on to get up to speed…

What is Matchroom Fight Camp?

The brainchild of promoter Eddie Hearn, Matchroom Fight Camp is a series of biosecure events held over four consecutive weekends which have given boxers and fans their fighting fix during these unprecedented times. Held exclusively within the grounds of Matchroom’s Essex headquarters, everything from press conferences and weigh-ins to the fights themselves take place in this sporting bubble. Take a virtual tour by watching the video above.

How many Fight Camps have taken place already?

We’ve had two of these unique boxing extravaganzas so far – and it’s all gone off without a hitch. Everyone involved has been the subject of regular Covid-19 testing, with no positive results returned at the time of writing. And fans have been lapping up the action on Sky Sports.

Who’s fought so far?

We’ve already had some big names step into the ring these past two weekends, including last Friday’s heart-pounding draw between Natasha Jones and defending WBC women’s world super-featherweight champion Terri Harper. Ted Cheeseman and Sam Eggington also treated viewers to an epic bout on the opening weekend, with Cheeseman securing a thrilling points win to claim the IBF international super-welterweight title.

Who’s fighting this weekend?

Friday’s action will be headlined by Jason Welborn taking on fellow middleweight Felix Cash. Other bouts include super-featherweights Zelfa Barrett and Eric Donovan going head to head, a clash between super-middleweights John Docherty and Anthony Fox, plus Kieron Conway and Nav Mansouri squaring up for the WBA Intercontinental super-welterweight title.

When is the final Matchroom Fight Camp?

The last of these weekend spectaculars will take place on Saturday 22 August when Dillian Whyte will meet Alexander Povetkin for the interim WBC Heavyweight title on Sky Sports Box Office. Ireland’s Katie Taylor will also be defending her belts against Defline Persoon on what’s sure to be an explosive night of live boxing.
