The HSBC Sevens World Series is heading to London and here’s why you should tune in

High-scoring thrillers, top players, fans in fancy dress… this is a sport that has it all

HSBC Sevens World Series, from Friday 2 June, 4pm, Sky Sports Action/HD (CH 517/507)

Love rugby? Got a shorter-than-short attention span? Then you and the HSBC Sevens World Series could be perfect for each other!

This year’s tournament has been around the world, taking in such desirable destinations as Cape Town, Las Vegas and Singapore, but now it’s time for Twickenham Stadium to host the penultimate round of action.

Here’s how it works: over two days of action in London, 16 teams will be separated into four groups, with the best nations going through to four different knockout phases. A champion will be crowned after the two days are wrapped up, while the points picked up at the tournament will also count towards the overall table.

But enough of the technical stuff. Click/hover on the icons below to discover seven reasons why you need to watch...
