We’re hosting a series of fun yoga workshops at no extra cost to help you boost your physical, mental and emotional health

By Virgin TV Edit

Wednesday 21 June marks International Yoga Day and Virgin TV has planned the perfect way to celebrate the physical and spiritual benefits of this ancient practice.

The origins of yoga can be traced back to northern India over 5,000 years ago and the word was first mentioned in an ancient sacred text called the Rig Veda.

Nowadays, it’s a staple in many people's routines, including A-list stars such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston and David Beckham. Whatever your preferred form of yoga, the goal of the practice is to improve mental, physical and emotional health.

We want you to keep your mind, body and soul in good shape, and so we’re hosting a Yoga showcase on Channel 100 from 6am to 9pm on Wednesday 21 June in association with Nuffield Health.

Our collection of yoga classes, entitled Celebrating International Yoga Day, will be available on demand so you can tune in whenever it suits you. The collection will be available from Wednesday 21 June for a week. If you’re a TV 360 or Stream viewer, you’ll find it in Discover, Box Sets & Get Moving. The collections will also found in both the TiVo® Get Moving areas in Catch Up and On Demand.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a yoga expert or a complete newbie – there’s something for every ability, level and preference. And with the summer upon us and the gorgeous sunshine beaming down, there’s no better time to pull out a mat, stretch our bodies and align our chakras.

Here's a look at some of the exciting classes with Nuffield Health that we have on offer:
