What streaming apps are on your Virgin TV boxes? Here’s your essential guide

If the smorgasbord of TV channels can’t fulfil your insatiable urge for top-notch telly, there’s a plethora of apps offering more top-quality content for you to feast your eyes on (app availability depending on box, some subscriptions apply).

And we’re adding brand new apps to our service all the time. What does that mean? It means you can watch even more of your favourite shows when you want.

With high-quality TV shows, films, games and activities that keep the whole family entertained, with lots of it in crystal-clear 4K ultra HD (for compatible TVs), there are plenty of apps to choose from. Customers with our Virgin TV 360 or Stream boxes can press Home > Apps, or use voice control and just say “apps”.

Some apps are not available on our older TV boxes, such as our V6 or TiVo boxes. Upgrading will give you the widest available selection of apps, so to upgrade and access all the great content available, find out all you need to know here.

Can’t get enough of true crime series, sensational sporting action and epic dramas? Love classic dramas? Then you’ll want to explore STV Player. Featuring some of the best entertainment from Scotland and beyond, there are shows for absolutely everyone. In fact, there are more than 1,000 hours of must-watch telly at your fingertips.

STV Player is available on our 360, Stream and V6 boxes only.

Listen to one of their banging music mixes one minute, an illuminating doc exploring human history another, with a cheeky episode of The Archers in between. This app has thousands of hours of listening to enjoy, and it’s now sat inside your tellybox!

Not all apps are available on all Virgin TV boxes. To get access to maximum TV, you can upgrade your Virgin TV box here.
