A sizzling new cop drama for the summer!

We talk to Jessica Alba and Gabrielle Union about brand new cop drama L.A.’s Finest on FOX

The City of Angels won’t know what’s hit it when these two get to work…

L.A.’s Finest, Wednesday 10 July, 9pm, FOX/HD (CH 157/199). Also available for 30 days in Catch Up > Channels > FOX

The British summer might be as unreliable as ever, but the thermostat reading is about to go through the roof on Wednesday nights thanks to this sizzling new cop drama from FOX. Say hello to L.A.’s Finest.

This spin-off of the hugely successful Bad Boys film franchise is locked, loaded and ready to crank up the heat, as Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba join forces to tackle crime in the City of Angels. Union plays Sydney Burnett, who we last encountered thwarting a dangerous drug cartel in Bad Boys II. Having left her past life in Miami, Syd is now an LAPD detective, working alongside Nancy McKenna (Alba), a working mother with a similarly colourful past.

But taking on the bad guys of Los Angeles isn’t the only thing keeping Burnett and McKenna busy. As they face serious challenges in their personal lives, the pair are forced to confront some uncomfortable truths.

Packed with action, a snappy script and a kick-ass chemistry between the two leads, L.A.’s Finest is the kind of cop show that refuses to take itself too seriously. Broadchurch this ain’t. But don’t just take our word for it. Find out even more about your new summer obsession, as Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba – who also act as executive producers – lift the lid on this brand new series…
