Warm up for a Love Island winter

Warm up for a Love Island winter

The ITV2 reality show is back for its first ever winter series, so catch up on your best chat with our quiz

Just when it felt like winter would go on forever, ITV2 lights a fire in our hearts with the first ever series outside of summer…

Love Island, Sunday 12 January, 9pm, ITV2 (CH 115). Also available for 30 days in Catch Up > Channels > ITV Hub

That’s right reality TV fans! Love Island is back (already) for a brand new series, and this time it’s in January. It’s moved to a new villa and, what’s more, it’s in Cape Town. So that means new Islanders, new drama and a whole load more lingo to learn!

Scottish show commentator Iain Stirling is back to give his cheeky view on proceedings and this time he’s joined by real-life girlfriend Laura Whitmore on presenting duties. Whitmore will be strutting into the South African villa to challenge the scantily clad procession of singletons as they look to couple up to win the cash prize.

This time, the sizzling hot action will be taking place in a shorter amount of time too (just six sun-soaked weeks) so expect more drama to be crammed into every re-coupling and more awkward banter on a daily basis. Do one, winter! And if you miss an episode, you can always get back up to speed (or watch live) with the Virgin TV Go app

A much-needed ray of reality sunshine, last year’s series 5 saw Ovie win the hearts of the nation and Amber and Greg walk away as winners. It also birthed loads of new catchphrases, sayings and slang…

So, before we crack on with the chirpsing and get down to some grafting, it’s time to test your knowledge of Love Island lingo with our language quiz.
