Celebrity Big Brother may be no more, but it still has the ability to turbo-charge a showbiz career. Just ask last winter’s winner, effervescent Aussie singer and TV personality Courtney Act (aka Shane Jenek).
Courtney’s star turn in the CBB house, which featured an endearing friendship with former Apprentice candidate Andrew Brady, has led to a role as the presenter of a brand new (and very 2018) dating show on E! – The Bi Life.
Identifying as pansexual, polyamorous and genderfluid, Courtney is the perfect host for a show charting the highs and lows of a group of bisexual+ (bi, pansexual, fluid and more) British singletons, who’ll be living together, partying together and navigating the world of dating in beautiful Barcelona.
Courtney, who’s also appeared on Australian Idol and RuPaul’s Drag Race, is thrilled with the possibilities of the new show, proudly proclaiming: “It’s high time there was a dating show for the large number of young people today who, like me, are attracted to more than one gender. In 2018 we know that sexuality is fluid, and sharing the stories and the experiences, the laughter and the lovemaking of young bi people is so important. So get ready to see the true stories of bisexual singles, who are the largest part of the LGBTQ+ community but the least known.”
We agree that it’s a terrific opportunity to shed light on an often unseen part of the population – as well as to see a lot more of future megastar Courtney Act. Bring it on!
