Keeping fit year-round isn’t just good for your body, it’s great for your mind, too. It’s one of the reasons we’ve teamed up with Virgin Active to keep you fit in the comfort of your home. No equipment needed – all you need is you. And it’s all available to watch whenever you want, so you can workout when it suits you.

Simply head to On Demand to find Virgin Active HD. What’s more, if you’re a Full House or Maxit customer, you’ll also be able to watch on Virgin TV Ultra HD (CH 228/999) between 6am-8.30am and 12pm-2.30pm, seven days a week. Don’t miss yoga Monday to Thursday at 6am or every day 12pm, or grid training every day at 7am and 1pm – perfect if you’re an early riser, or you prefer to sweat it out during your lunch hour.

So whether you’re tuning in, or finding it On Demand, there are new Virgin Active workouts available to everyone, no matter your fitness or skill level. All you need to do is get your trainers on (or go bare foot, if you don’t allow shoes in the front room) and take a look at what’s in store…

Yoga

Watch in On Demand or on Virgin TV Ultra HD (CH 228/999), Monday–Thursday at 6am, and every day at 12pm

Say what you want about yoga, it’s not all umming and ahhing. Yoga is great for engaging your core, reducing aches and pains all over the body, and chilling you out. If you want a head start, we’d suggest brushing up on your dogs, cows, cats and cobras, first.

Grid Training

Watch in On Demand or on Virgin TV Ultra HD (CH 228/999), every day at 7am and 1pm

Grid training is a mainstay at Virgin Active gyms, and now you can get involved from the comfort of your home, too. It’s a high-intensity workout, focusing on strengthening moves like burpees, press ups and jumps to get the heart pumping and the sweat running.

Pilates

For more core-strengthening, why not give Pilates a shot? Unlike grid training, Pilates (named after its founder) focuses on low-impact endurance moves – perfect if you’re looking to improve muscular control, tone your large muscle groups, and don’t want to jump all over the living room.

Boxing

You’re not expected to have a bag or gloves for this one, so don’t stress. Boxing at home starts with some mobility exercises, to warm your whole body up, before moving into a series of jabs, uppercuts, and defensive positions, all the while hopping on your toes. Perfect for an all-body workout.
