Why choose a Virgin Media Hub?

Intelligent WiFi can ensure that you always have the most reliable signal at home, leaving you to stream, browse and game to your heart’s content. So what’s the secret to a great internet connection?

Say hello to Virgin Media’s Hub 3 and Hub 4. Locked and loaded with Intelligent WiFi, these routers make life simple by adapting to your home’s surroundings and automatically fixing any lingering WiFi issues.

How to get a Virgin Media Hub router

As an existing customer, you should already have a Virgin Media router – new customers will also receive a new router automatically when they sign up to one of our broadband packages.

How to get a Hub upgrade

A Hub 3 or 4 isn’t only available for new customers. Existing Virgin Media customers with a Super Hub 2ac, or older, can easily upgrade to a Hub 3, at no extra cost.

If you’re a Gig1 Fibre broadband customer, you have the option to upgrade your router to our even faster Hub 4, at no extra cost! Serving up average download speeds of over 1Gbps, it’s built to deliver incredible levels of speed and connectivity.

To request a Hub swap or upgrade, simply use the Virgin Media Connect app or sign in on the My Virgin Media app to find out if you’re eligible. You can also check eligibility using the link below.

The legal stuff

New customers only. SERVICES ONLY AVAILABLE IN VIRGIN MEDIA NETWORK AREAS. Subject to survey, network capacity and credit check. A minimum period applies to the services, please check basket for details.

What is a minimum period? **When you take any services from us you will be committing to taking that service for a minimum amount of time (e.g. 18 months). We call this a minimum period, minimum term or minimum commitment period but they mean the same thing. Please check your basket for details of the minimum period that applies to the services you have chosen.

What if I cancel or move home? If you cancel during the minimum period, you may need to pay an early disconnection fee, including when you move to a property outside of the Virgin Media Network area – this is because you will be asking to cancel your services early. The Virgin Media network does not cover all of the UK – please use our post code checker here to check availability. You can find more details on the early disconnection fee and process by visiting the Legal Stuff section of the website here. For the full terms and conditions please click here.
