Why is my On Demand not working?

If your On Demand services aren’t working, follow the guidance below to understand why, and get your On Demand services working again.

It may be that your Virgin Media On Demand’s not working because we’ve restricted your services.

We’ll always try contacting you before restricting your services.

There are two reasons your services would be restricted:

  • If you’ve just joined us, we may apply a bar to some services, based on the results of your credit check. This can be reviewed after you’ve been with us for 6 months and have made all your payments on time.

  • If you’re using services more than normal, we may restrict or bar them temporarily to ensure you’re aware of what you’re spending.

When the rights of an On Demand show expire, we need to remove it from our service. Some shows do return at a later date with more episodes, or as a complete series.

Check the On Demand menu to see the latest episodes.

Your Virgin Media Catch Up TV and On Demand services may not be working because of an error code or message.

You might not be able to watch On Demand or Catch Up TV because your services may down due to an issue in your area.

Your problems with Catch Up TV and On Demand could be due to slow download speeds. As these services require an internet connection, your download speeds need to be fast.

Your problems with Catch Up TV and On Demand may be fixed by restarting the box.

The steps below work for all our TV boxes.

  1. To restart the TV Box, unplug it from the power supply, wait 20 seconds, and plug it back in.

  2. Once it’s on again, check if your On Demand is working again.
