Here’s how the tournament works. The first round will feature matches played between the eight lower-ranked teams (including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Ireland and Scotland). Four of those teams will then progress to the Super 12s, which will be made up of two groups of six teams. It’s at this point where the top-ranked teams (including England, India, West Indies and Australia) come in. The best four teams from the Super 12s will then play in the semi-finals, with the winners of those matches contesting the final on Sunday 14 November.

From big-hitting batsmen and brilliant bowlers to awesome all-rounders, the World Cup will be a showcase of the very best players currently involved in the T20 international scene. But who should you be keeping an eye on when it all gets under way?
