Are you ready for an action-packed night of intense sports entertainment, featuring some massive stars, some sensational match-ups and some huge prizes up for grabs? Then welcome to WWE Money In The Bank 2022!

Money In The Bank began life as part of WrestleMania but since 2010 it’s been its own separate event, evolving into one of the most popular and exciting nights in the WWE calendar. In fact, last year WWE CEO Nick Khan announced that it had been added to the list of “tentpole” events alongside Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Survivor Series. Yep, that’s how big it is!

It’s a night when the biggest personalities of WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown come together in the ring with some serious regards at stake – and you can watch it LIVE on BT Sport Box Office WWE with Virgin Media! Here’s everything you need to know…

What’s WWE Money In The Bank all about then?

The Money In The Bank contests are classic WWE ladder matches, where the WWE Superstars strive to beat each other to the top of a ladder and snatch the prize hanging over the ring. In this case, the reward is a contract guaranteeing participation in a World Championship match and there are two available on the night – one for men and one for women.

It’s one of the most exciting spectacles in WWE – and remember, the ladder isn’t just for climbing…

Rhea Ripley was due to participate in Money In The Bank but has been forced to withdraw for medical reasons, so the leading female Superstars competing for that juicy contract will be Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan.

On the men’s side, SmackDown superstars Sheamus (pictured above) and Drew McIntyre qualified, then were disqualified, then reinstated… it wouldn’t be WWE without drama! They’ll be up against Raw’s Seth “Freakin’” Rollins and Omos. Big prize, big names!

Are there other matches taking place?

You bet! Having seen off multiple rivals at Raw last week, Carmella won the opportunity to challenge Bianca Belair for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship, which promises to be an epic match-up.

The WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship is also on the line, as champion Ronda Rousey (pictured) defends her title against Natalya, who earned a shot with a six-pack challenge win at the start of June.

There’s tag-team action too, as the Usos take to the arena in defence of their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship. Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso are up against Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford, aka the Street Profits, in a high-stakes tandem showdown. And Theory will be aiming to hold on to his WWE United States Championship in the face of a challenge from Bobby Lashley.

It all adds up to a fantastic night of sports entertainment that’s not to be missed, so catch all the action on BT Sport Box Office WWE with Virgin Media!
